    Give Warne credit ,,,,,,,,,,,BUT ,,,,,,,,,,,
Totally disagree with you and your view of warne , the team and the season so far
that’s your view and fair enough, I just don’t see it , I’m a very happy derby fan with where we are and how things are going and I reckon I’m far from being alone in that from what I see and hear in and around PP most weeks

Yep , watching sport as a neutral is all about entertainment for me , if it’s not great I switch off ,,, watching my team ( derby county by far the greatest team ,,,,,,,,, ) is all about emotion , belonging , tribal , loyalty, highs, lows ect ect ect , truth is there is a big difference between being a fan of football and being a full fledged fan of a club though some don’t like to admit it , it’s levels , im a mad derby fan and proud of it but I’m nowhere near the level of those who go every game home and away and I don’t see the problem in admitting that 🤷🏻‍♂️

I think I’ve got it ,, some people really enjoy the ups football brings whilst some enjoy the downs , was scratching my head over some of the stuff on here and my mind drifted back to being a young fella , my first real girlfriend s dad was a derby fan , season ticket in the ley stand and I got in the habit of getting a lift to games with him and some of his friends , he never missed a game but he did nothing but moan , I used to wonder why the hell he went to games ,,, and we were bloody good then ,,,,
perhaps some like the moaning , perhaps they are as happy as sand boys in normal life and football is an outlet to be a right misery guts 😂

It is often claimed that Warne's style of football is just 'hoofball'. Seeing Cambridge's pitch on Saturday reminded me of one important requirement in order to play 'hoofball', that is a dry pitch. You need the ball to hold up if you're playing it over the top all the time. Anyone going to PP will notice that the sprinklers are usually on pre-match and at half time, to help promote a slick type of play, which is actually the style Warne prefers to play. If you have a wet pitch, any balls over the defence are likely to run through and out of play.
I noticed that at Portsmouth in the wet conditions against us, they continued with their pumping high balls over the top to Kamara, with the ball invariably running out of play.

The fact that he is going is irrelevant. We should be playing the best team available that suits the situation.

Because he’s a good player, who has contributed well to the cause over the last few years and could still play one final part in getting us promoted…
For reference, as it stands Adams, Hourihane, Sibley, Smith, Thompson and Bird are all “going” so we should maybe just play Fornah in midfield on Saturday 😉

I’ve long been of the opinion that electric vehicle s are part of the solution but not THE solution to the future and this massive pressure to make them the be all and end all , forcing people into them is going to come back and bite , not bite those doing the pushing and making very big bucks but those who can least afford it who are being pushed ,,, diesel anyone ?

For me electric cars are not the future , they are part of the future , there is no need to ban petrol cars if what is forecast and promised is true , imminent and better and this is my problem with what’s going on in so many areas of this whole net zero by force thing (they will take over naturally)no balance and not based in reality, it has to be costed properly , not off the backs of the less well off and actually better and sustainable,
we are at a very dangerous point of impoverishing our nation and diminishing its security with this current mad ideological push , we also bang on about our past in the Industrial Revolution, colonialism and slavery yet people turn a blind eye to children mining this stuff in Africa and Uyghur Muslims in work camps / slavery in China , not to mention this stuff needed for batteries is finite too and controlled in the main by China worldwide ,there really is no upside to exporting all our carbon production to China and India ect ect , it makes no sense

I don't agree with that statement. It's fair to say we've been outplayed a few times, but clearly not as frequently as you say, otherwise we wouldn't be second. Maybe it's the fact that we haven't scored 4 goals more than a couple of times, and allot of victories have been narrow, but we're in the top 4 scorers, with the joint most wins and the tightest defence. Now you're complaining that we should have got there sooner, but if you read the Peterborough and Bolton forums, you'll see them complaining that they should too. Most of them aren't saying "yeah, but wasn't the football great". Ask them if they'd be happy to be promoted playing like we do - I think the honest ones would say "absolutely".
