So he wants us to play how we have the last 3 games and got 2 points from. No wonder I don’t ever listen to his drivel

Probably been paid to say such things as to give credit to Warne’s style of play.

Well I reckon PW is made of sterner stuff and probably believes he can turn it around. Also, whilst we're off the pace and nowhere near where we want to be we're not on a losing streak, we're not in the relegation zone (yet) and it's not slit your wrists time.
I would repeat, when have you ever known any manager quit under these circumstances for the reasons you list?

I can't imagine being a manager in a job where I knew I was out of my depth and failing. What a miserable existence that would be ! I only have a faint idea of what the anxiety levels must be like for Paul. In answer to your question. Yes. If I was out of my depth and failing in a job I would be looking for a way out as I couldn't stand the anxiety. I don't know how PW feels at the moment but he is under a huge amount of pressure. All I know is that yes, I would bow out at a certain point having given the job everything I could but knowing the job was more difficult than I expected and acknowledging I could not take the team further. I'm not saying that's how things are at the moment, but if it comes to this in the future I think that Paul will do the decent thing and come to some kind or arrangement with David to leave the club amicably. I really hope it doesn't come to this, but I believe that both men are decent, caring and honest.
I'm still hoping that things will turn out ok and that PW will be a successful just because he is a good man, but at this point my hopes are not high.

Hallelujah, he's finally realised that Collins is the weak link and would ultimately cost him his job. COYR.

PW picks pretty much the same team as wanted by the armchair managers. And they are still whining.
Once they are on the pitch it is out of his hands till half time.
The Shrews are playing better than their league position shows.
The pitch has been narrowed to help them stop the runs down the side restricting crosses. Only 2 in the first half.
We need to play quicker and need someone on to control the centre of the pitch.

I'm ill and I'm grumpy and this is making things worse. Time to turn it off. Warne out.

Because Paul Warne has fewer brain cells than I can count on the fingers of one ear?

I think CH has a role in certain types of matches.
Since 2011, nobody has scored more long range goals from outside the penalty area. This should be utilised when playing against a packed defence. He needs to find space outside the box and be picked out, rather than just aimlessly pumping crosses into the middle. Given a bit of space and time, there should be no better player in this league for being able to pick his spot.
Whether it's starting against a defensive team or coming on against a team defending a point or points.

Good point. I expect Warne will start with Barkhuizen and Sibley on the wings. Mendez-Laing probably won't even be in the squad, with Ward taking the spare spot on the bench. Something like this:
Wildsmith
Nyambe Nelson Cashin Forsyth
Fornah Smith
Barkhuizen Bird Sibley
Collins
Subs: Vickers, Bradley, Wilson, Ward, Hourihane, Washington, Waghorn

In your "oh so humble" opinion.
In mine, he never had a chance given the circumstances.

MickD reacted to Leeds Ram in Wayne Rooney
Rooney was the right man at the right time for that season. He articulated how we all felt and pulled together a bunch of youngsters and frees who put up such a good fight. We went down fighting admirably after such a hefty points deduction and I don't think I've been prouder of the team and fans than after that fulham match when the game was all but up for survival. You could perhaps argue a couple more away wins which a more astute manager buys us keeps us by the skin of the teeth in the division but it just wasn't quite to be.
On the Birmingham move I think it's a mistake by both parties. Rooney is coming into a turned-around side who have suffered their own financial woes recently and it'll be hard to take the credit even if it does go well. Birmingam have sacked a bloke who took them from looking at relegation to a play off place. I can't see it ending up well for Wayne unfortunately.

He made a power play to run the club with a con man and his agent. How can you support the guy when he was getting paid handsomely for Rosenior to do the work, then walked when his crew got found out?

The second half of the first season he was in charge ranks amongst the worst football and run of performances that I have seen in 50 years supporting the 🐏

100% undermined Cocu. His performances on the pitch near the end were awful.

More fool them.
I thought he was a mediocre manager at best whose wages helped to drain the club's finances even further at a time we could ill afford to do so.
Plus I feel he was always instrumental in the removal of cocu and undermined him as the manager in his own desire for management.
And he will always be the man who was in charge when we were relegated to league 1.
A massive mistake by Birmingham that won't them take long to regret I fear.

MickD reacted to Tamworthram in Will Clowes patience soon run out?
We all share the same ambition but, the reality is we may not go up this season either through the autos or the play offs. None of us know what is going through DC’s mind but my gut feeling is that he is nowhere near sacking Warne. I would very much doubt Warne is thinking it’s promotion this season or bust in terms of Warne’s future at the club. That may not be good enough for some of us but it’s not us making the decisions.
With regard to “bring in someone who can get the job done” who do you suggest? It’s easier said that done. Certain managers may prefer a more entertaining style of football but there is no one (especially one we could afford/attract and is available) who can guarantee us promotion. Logic suggests that you’d go for a manager with a track record of getting promoted out of league one like, errrr Paul Warne??

No I've always stated as others have on here that the number of duplicate threads being started to say exactly the same thing is beyond tedious now.
