Barry Davies and John Motson - Ali and Frazier of their times. When I listen to commentators today, who think that only thing to do is shout I realise just how nuanced and talented their generation were. Even Hugh Johns, Brian Moore, Alec Weeks, Gerald Sinstadt put the current mob to complete shame.

Find it strange that anyone could wish to enjoy seeing another club going through what we went through, normally based on the actions of a chairman or a few barmpot fans. The only time I will be having a party is when the EFL eventually grow a pair and come up with meaningful 'fit and proper' tests to allow clubs to be bought by serious potential owners rather than ego trip chancers and then have regulations in place that mean we don't end up in a place where every season at least one of the teams that gets relegated is the one who just happened to run out of cash that year.

If you had asked me where various people sit in the ground then I would have guessed pretty much that for yourself - based on the very limited knowledge (like almost zero) I have of you. I'm not a regular these days, far from it, but when I do go I think I sit within barking distance of @Ellafella - not sure if there's anything to read in that. But some on here are clearly South Standers, others less so. That's all I was saying.

Yeah, redone it all as my wife didn't see it first time around. I'd forgotten just how harrowing the conclusion to series two is. Sarah Lancashire is just a thing of wonder to watch as well - it is a role that would be so easy to just completely over do and ham it up but she knows exactly how to move the meter, when, and in what direction. I do admit, I almost find it distracting - a bit like watching Messi when you realise you're not actually watching the game. Not complaining though, love it.
