Probably the most under rated member of the most over rated band in recent times.
I liked The Smiths but I do feel they haven't aged at all well, and Mozza has tainted any good memories I could have had. But those walking basslines, that style, that originality - Rushholme Ruffians, The Headmaster Ritual, ThIs Night Has Opened My Eyes, How Soon Is Now, Barbarism Begins At Home and so many more.
They would have been nothing, even for all of Johnny Marr's genius, without him.

one of the bands of my formative years, amused that @BaaLocks states "Recent Years" given they packed up about 36 years ago!
I always feel bad when I think of Joyce and Rourke as it was written that in those 5/6 years, they were only ever paid as session musicians and never really made the kind of money they should've made.
Rourke himself battled Heroin addiction and beat it, absolute legend for me musically. RIP

Interesting to see how this compares to bans for racism, violent behaviour or off field offences. And in a sport that welcomes every penny the betting industry throws at them. He might be a bit of a twonk but this is disproportionate beyond belief. My only caveat is that I say this with no evidence that he was betting on games he was playing in.

why has this riled you up? It's not criminal. It's not drink-driving, drugs, fighting, stealing, sexual assault/abuse, racism, domestic violence or fraud.
If the football authorities feel so strongly about betting on football matches, perhaps they shouldn't have sold their soul to betting companies for sponsorship.
I agree(d) with Joey Barton's sentiment when he got done for it, the level of hypocrisy is shameful.
Betting on games you're involved with... yes... throw the book at him, however, he's got a problem and they should be helping him, not furloughing him for the rest of 2023!

They used to do a lot of this stuff, have the wrong person singing etc. JJ famously did TOTP with no strings on his bass.

Sex scenes in American television and movies - where the woman keeps her bra on throughout like it's genuine. I have no problem with actresses not wanting to undress on camera but if you're then going to ask them to simulate orgasms and have a potty mouth while they do it then it kind of defeats the point. It so rarely enhances the plot, looks more like box ticking (no puns please) to titillate somehow (again, no puns please).
There are so many ways to show this, if it is your want, without somehow suggesting the woman is at the point of delirium sexually without having unclasped her brassiere. And largely driven by the rather weird Bible Belt views of many in the US that showing someone shooting fifteen people dead with a semi-automatic is OK but just a glance of a nipple is beyond reproach.
