I love that Wildsmith is impervious to embarrassment. Which means he is our best asset in game management. If it's 0-0 on Saturday and we're under the cosh, he will find a way to take the sting out of the game and allow us to regroup. A vital part of the modern game but not anything our keepers have embraced before.

Thanks everyone for your kind messages - I've shown them to him, including from our guest from the coast, and even the smallest well-wishes from strangers can give a boost to people in his situation that I didn't appreciate until this happened.
Events like this makes you realise that it's the fans that make the club what it is. Thank you!

I can't help with tickets, but I hope that: a) your Dad's progress continues; b) you manage to get him a ticket for the final day; but most importantly that he continues to progress his recovery.  You don't need to tell him a Pompey fan sends him best wishes, but I'm pretty sure if others from the 92 saw this note they'd all be saying the same thing.  Love to you and yours.

Hi Duracell, we have a pair of ideal seats for you, we picked the seats because we're close to friends on the opposite side of the aisle.
We're stair 41, row kk, seats 398,399 immediately next to the aisle in the lower east in line with the edge of the centre circle on the south stand side of the half way line. Row kk is about 4 rows down from the entry stairs and the seats are on the right as you walk down to them.
We could meet you at the bottom of stair 41 in the concourse or you can just let me know your seat numbers.

    Good point. No plan B!
Whereas Warne has a Plan A, B and C. We sometimes see all three in the same match. 😂
Just an aside, Warne wasn't at the Supporters Club event last night because he'd gone to watch Cambridge at Bristol Rovers. Even at this late stage of the season, he's leaving no stone unturned in his quest to get us up. He works as hard as he expects from the players.

I like Warne as a person I've mentioned this many times but I still want to see a change at end of season
We need to be seeking out a young coach with bright ideas , we should as a club be looking constantly because long term Warne isn't the answer
Hearing how Alonso has transformed Leverkusen with his ideas and passion with players who are not big names is amazing considering he'd only ever managed a youth side and a B side in Spain yet Leverkusen saw something in Alonso, all good coaches and managers start somewhere why not at DCFC ?
There are also plenty of failures I know that but with our CAT1 academy wouldn't it be great foresight to try and get a young coach in with bright ideas who's going to embrace the academy  and have a long term project playing some decent football
Nothing against Warne but if we go up I'd like someone who will spend what funds we have prudently and build something sustainable here using the academy as well

No. Pay him a nice fat 'thanks for the promotion' bonus and send him on with our best wishes. He's a good guy and I'd probably enjoy his company, but his football is the polar opposite if what I enjoy watching and I don't think it's good enough for the second tier.
EDIT: Apologies, I misread your post. It's still a no. If we don't go up he has, by his own admission, failed. Position untenable.

IF we do not go up this season do we think Warne ( who i like as a person ) should stay ?
If we don't make it this season I'd like someone else to be given a chance next season

CBT has hardly done anything in four months so how is he jaded. Same for Washington, Waghorn et al. NML certainly but the other players who would reasonably have an excuse for looking jaded - Cashin and Nelson - weren’t the problem. The rest haven’t exactly been playing every match have they. They’ve just had a week off! Jaded my arse. Mentally fragile perhaps. The way CBT disappeared after his miss is a bit of a worry for me.
Anyway. Plenty to play for and players slowly coming back from injury. Chin up everybody. It was s**** but we have been s**** all season really.

Didn't we show "bottle" against Bolton and Pompey?
Stating the obvious, if we fail to go up it will simply because sometimes (rarely) we were good enough and showed bottle (whatever that means) but not often enough.

What makes me laugh sometimes is that …yes the players get pelters for not playing well but at what stage do we think the manager might also be to blame because Warne is not blameless  it’s his players team and formations I just want to see the end of this season and want to see better football with more direction

Warne isn't interested in good football. Or it's probably more accurate to say that Warne's idea of good football is very different to your average Derby fans idea of good football.

Weren't good enough or didn't have the bottle? Because we were good enough against Bolton and Pompey. We got ourselves into a very healthy position. Time after time this season when they have the weight of expectation on them against a (respectfully) lesser side like Northampton or Wycombe they fold.

The Hourihane sub made some sense, we took off the ineffective CBT and changed shape which got Wilson further up the pitch. The delay to make any further changes is the bit I’m more irked by. But I’m not putting it all on Warne, collectively it wasn’t good enough tonight from those on the pitch and off it.
Credit to the fans who were singing throughout and doing their bit.

The waning rational part of me thinks that the other sides have still got to go some to take second spot by the end of the season, given the fixtures they've got. And even if we fail at the autos there's still the play offs etc. I confess this is getting to be a much smaller part of my feelings about this season!
The much larger part of me is absolutely furious with everyone at the club for failing to take the countless opportunities we've had to put us out of sight. Some of the points we've squandered have been simply inexcusable. My gut says we're destined to throw it away.

Not a doom merchant but the game management is shocking, play with no urgency or tempo. Terrible substitutions and tactical decisions. It has been the same all season. I remember Warne saying he loves a good throw in yet we must be the worst in the league at them
We’re second in the league but on the whole a forgettable season with very few highlights. How many promotion worthy performances have we put in???
So so so disappointing. To say we have a team who know what it takes to get out the league and fail to take advantage against teams like Northampton and Wycombe is inexcusable.

I’m usually one trying to be rational about these things, but that performance at this time of the season bordered disgusting for me. Lazy passing, headless running, poor touches…and that was just Kane Wilson who gave one of the worst performances I’ve seen in a derby shirt this season. Don’t like singling out players for criticism, rarely do it, but for all his ‘Jack the lad’ persona not enough quality shines through when it matters.
Within the context of the season and where we are, it was shockingly bad. I could have wax lyrical for hours about how good Derby were last week and every inch of praise was deserved. They lost all that goodwill tonight.
I’ve got very little more I can say, it’s not that they haven’t won but the attitude/performance for where we are in the season was so below par.

Arguably the worst performance of the season given the significance of the game.

If Warne doesn't get us promoted his position is simply untenable, and performances like this are the reason why.
