I think they blew there wad in the summer on wages if not fees.  I can think of at least 7-8 players that they must be using as doorstops on 10-15 k a week.  Actually didn't they sign Blackett, just remembered him. another one that's being used as a draft excluder.

That was a freezing night.  Remember Mark Paterson scoring from about forty yards then wrecking his knee.  Then it was called off so it counted for nought.  The next match -the 3rd- we won and it was a great game against Villa in the next round - night time, 7 goals, a brilliant goal from Williams and someone getting in the Villa dressing room at full time and abusing Ron Atkinson. A proper atmosphere at the BBG that night. When cup games still mattered

@mozza - a signed one will definitely decrease the resale value over time ? I had a few signed ones to giveaway over Christmas from Bryson and a few others - if there's enough interest, I'll ask a few players to do it again

Started reading yesterday and enjoying it .   When you asked for ex players a while ago as recommendations I suggested Rob Lee as someone who had a bit to say when he left and he features fair bit in the first part, so that might have helped . Glad if it did-or you might already have contacted him at that stage.
