There's some great websites about that may or may not show boxing fights without paying for them...

I can however say that paying £2 a month for DAZN has been a great purchase. Got to watch the Canelo vs BJS fight, Canelo vs Smith, GGG recent fight and many more. Which full replays on straight after the fights too. £2 a month is a great deal.

£2 a month is very good deal for proper fights I agree.  If you get the pantomime drivel as an extra I suppose it's up to the watcher whether to bother.

I'll be honest, first time hearing nearly all of those. Given his health I think we can dismiss the due diligence one as bunkum, nigh on impossible to have done it on his own. I do think, however, there is a very good case to be made that whoever did the due diligence - and it was under MMs ultimate guidance - fell well short on both occassions (particularly the second one when one Twitter user found out more in one evening than the club seemed to have unpicked in three months). The ones on his ways of working aren't really myths, they're opinions.

Whether you're a fan or not, everyone (including Mel) is aligned that this is the closing chapter in the story. He's been clear he either doesn't want to, or can't, invest the huge sums needed to mount another promotion push. The one thing that isn't a myth is that we were about three minutes from going out of the Championship and need to fix pretty much everything - on the pitch and beyond - if we are not to face another torrid season next time round.

My personal favourite was an extra season of Darren Bent at 30k a week when he hit an appearance trigger no-one knew about.  As I recall they were quite startled when he turned up with his boots for a pre-season kick about.

What, like Ali vs Inoki? There's countless others, the likes of Ali and Tyson did loads of exhibition fights.

Bit before my time. Wasn't that one discipline against another and both were qualified at the highest level of their sport.  Can the fella from UFC use leg kicks ?

Wasn't the recent Tyson/ Roy Jones exhibition described as like two uncles squabbling at a barbeque.

It's a load of old crap .  Pay for it if you like though. Up to you.

Currently embarking upon a journey of Stranger Things.

So far, so very good indeed.

Loved the first series, second not bad, third became a bit of a slog for me.  Will stick with it though.

Former WBC and WBA super middleweight champion Andre Ward is a huge fan of the Diaz brothers' boxing skills, particularly Nate's.

An interview with the undefeated pugilist from 2014 in which he praises Diaz's boxing skills has been doing the rounds on the internet following the announcement that Nate will be fighting Conor McGregor at UFC 196. Ward believes that the Diaz brothers have very different boxing styles, but Nate is more skillful on the feet.

"Nick is more, 'hit me with your best shot, and I'm coming with my best shot.' Nate's a little bit more of a skillful volume puncher, different angles and stuff like that. He was one of my main guys when I fought Chad Dawson."

"Those guys got great stand up and they'd be able to compete... I don't know how far they'd go in the pro ranks, but those guys could compete in boxing."

If you ever see Nate Diaz being interviewed he closely resembles those members of Leicester's baby squad who were interviewed on that Football Factories programme on SKY about 10 years ago.  Both have had a few thousand punches to the head too many. Personally the way he uses his face as a catchers mitt for punches, I can't see him lasting to long in a boxing ring against any fighter with the basics of ring craft.

Woodley has been one of the most boring fighters in the UFC, don’t expect this to be an entertaining fight.

Nate Diaz, get him in the ring with Jake Paul, doubt it would go past 2 rounds.

I'm not quite as up to date with this Jake Paul fella as others bar seeing clips of him calling out Conor McGregor recently.

I'm getting the gist that a boxing match is being promoted between a bloke who isn't a boxer against a bloke who isn't a boxer and you pay for the privilege of watching them slap each other for a bit.

This drivel would never have got of the ground 20 years ago, watching Big Daddy against Giant Haystacks would be more entertaining. Worlds gone made.

Can't remember who it was, but someone on here recommended Almost Famous a few months back. Just watched it. Enjoyable, but went on slightly too long. Craig Bryson minus the 2013/14 season.

I also re-watched Dazed and Confused and enjoyed it a lot more than I did on first watch.

That was me fella, after you mentioned Dazed and Confused.

  9. Wilder has no belts. The other two hold all the belts.  Wilder will be quite happy on the advice of his agents to let this fight go ahead on the understanding he gets to fight whoever wins, as the belts will be all in a nice bundle. If he doesn't win them back he'll get a nice fat 50% of the purse and the chance to fight on home soil which would be incredible for a bloke with no belts by letting this go ahead. Perhaps he can have a new contract drawn up as well giving him another opportunity after that if he loses. He could do it till he's on a zimmer.

Either way he gets more cash than fighting Fury now and has one fight to get all the belts rather than two.

I can vaguely remember a time when if you lost a world title you had to basically beat 2 or 3 top ten ranked boxers and a couple of up and coming pretenders over a two or three year period to get it back. Now its seems to be dominated by three or four fighters at each weight and there's so many  poor standard champions with 4 belts and linear belts on offer.

What the bloody hell has Wilder done to have another go.  Agents have to much power now.

    Can I ask

to my knowledge a hmrc bill would be to do with outstanding VAT ... as far as I know u don’t pay VAT on wages

would that if true not be for service so corporate activities

No VAT on wages, just Tax, N.I, Tax payable on Benefit in kind- medical, cars etc,

Corporation tax on Ltd entities but that would fall on the directors and if the business runs at a loss that wouldn't be relevant. I assume if there was any profit following the stadium sale and depending if that stadium was listed under a company their may be some element their, obviously depends how that was moved around. ?

There will be areas of VAT I'm sure but having never had any involvement with VAT someone else would know more than me to be honest.

I'm no tax expert, but how can an organisation that loses money every year owe any income tax ?

Back in the early 80's we hadn't paid the tax on players wages. My gut says in the modern age you'd know if that was the case though. It's not done on annual basis like it used to be on manual P35.  Computerisation would show such an issue on a monthly basis.

Yes me to. Poppa baalocks thinks I'm an idiot so the post to get up his nose had the desired effect. Sad twit. One team in Bristol- guess that's us then as they talk about fook all else.?

Scrap that. I'm now an attention seeking idiot. He's gone to the trouble of upgrading me bless him. At least I'm keeping him from his normal hobby of cutting out pictures of Mel's head for his scrapbooks.

Only had a quick glance through his posts, he sounds very bitter.

Apparently the reason he is not putting a bid in to buy the club is because he got no thanks the first time around.

I'm not sure he has the relevant resources to put in any bid.  Last time he was a very small part of the Gadsby consortium and got his money back- I assume with a nice profit- on promotion as agreed when he came in. It was effectively a short term loan rather than investment.

There will only ever be 1 true club in Bristol and that is Bristol Rovers.

City have had a decent go of it in the last few years but they are slowly returning to their normal days of achieving absolutely sod all.

I expect them to be relegated in the next year or so and unlike us, it wont take a point deduction for it to happen.

    Bristol is a dump too.

Oh dear, this will wind up posted.  Down travel don't through there on your way to Devon, the locals will drive you away with fire and pitchforks.

Hey Tamworthram, just seen you feature on that Bristol City forum, that eejit Papadopolopoloplop’s been over and took a screenshot featuring one of your posts.

    Bloke lives on here.

Ah excellent, been quoted on DCFCfans or cited anyway. I occasionally cut through to an audience.

2 point deduction would be splendid if the Appeal comes through for this season.

Mel Morris and Rooney in League One would be a great thing. It would be very funny.

Odd thing is, Tamworth Ram and G Star Ram appear to be sensible posters yet spouted some poo on this subject. No idea about Curtains.

Is King David still running that place.

Is he OK? I thought Leeds fans were obsessed. Is this all because we got a draw with them in some game a few years ago? Sometimes I wonder why I have so little free time compared to others.

Reading that 49 page Charge they took out last August with MSD for the first time in a while, there must be something I'm missing

    He's missing

    A- A life

B- A responsible adult to take him out for a few hours

C- His entire supply of headache tablets after Cardiff's equaliser

    D- All of the above
