I just struggle to accept it's not political,  at least in Germany,  France and Italy.

I assume italy will now allow those supplies they blocked to be released,  if they don't want them others may aswell.

It's ridiculous .  Give people the option- if they want it let them have it.  Italy had a horrendous problem with covid a year ago and have only just started to administer this any way.  There take up must be horrifically low.

More chances of a blood clot or problem with blood pressure taking most over the counter painkillers.

'It aint 'alf 'ot Mum' was never rescreened as far as I know. Don Estelle was extremely bitter about it. According to his obituary in The Independent, "in recent years Estelle cut a slightly sorry figure, dressed in his "Lofty" outfit, setting out a stall of his tapes and singing to passers-by in shopping centres."

Fortunately  I have the boxed set of DVDs

One of the most unpleasant people I've ever met. It was that unpleasant it's still etched in memory from the age of 8 when I had the misfortune of spending time 20 minutes around him when he did a PA appearance at the Trocadero in Derby. Absolute bell of the highest order.

    There.... I said it.

Still not got over that programme. About 6 years and then nothing at the end.  What was the reason for Mr Echo and the women with lottery numbers in the psychiatric unit.  ????

I agree,  he was given a massive opportunity by Derby and he treated them with disrespect.

no desire to see him fail but will never look and think we made a mistake letting him go.

Saw something that made me chuckle the other day . Andre Wisdom is now only 3 behind Mason Bennett now in the all time goals list .  That tells me all I need to know really.

  5. Pele on netflix - very good.

At the end of the 1970 w.c final match when the crowd comes on the pitch one of the Italian players doesn't seem at all arsed about losing and makes a desperate lunge through the crowd almost about to belt someone to grab hold of Pele and starts dragging his shirt of to swop.

Wondered what he did with it and appears he flogged it last year .The price indicates why he was so keen

The yellow and green shirt worn by Pele in Brazil's 1970 World Cup Final victory smashed the world record for a football shirt when it fetched £157, 750 at Christie's in London yesterday.

It easily beat the previous record of £91,750 paid for the shirt worn by Geoff Hurst when he scored a hat-trick in England's victory over West Germany in the 1966 final.

The Brazilian shirt was was bought on the telephone by an anonymous collector who declined to reveal his nationality. He beat off fierce competition from at least seven other determined bidders.

Pele's number 10 shirt was put up for sale by Italian international Roberto Rosato, who swapped shirts with the Brazilian legend after the final whistle. Pele scored the first goal in Brazi's 4-1 triumph, which was watched by 107,000 spectators at the Azteca stadium in Mexico City. The short-sleeved shirt had been given a pre-sale estimate of £30,000-£50,000.

But Rangers haven't got 10 in a row....and neither have the vile club...thanks to the mighty teddy bears! ha ha

I thought they did and Celtic were chasing it.  They already have 51 titles according to stats. Not even worth worrying about if they have the same consecutive wins and a European cup.

Incidentally, speaking of teams with an * next to their league title. Check out Rangers in 1891. Scandalous!

More scandalous that Derby had the deciding vote to promote Arsenal who finished 5th in Division 2 in 1919 and relegate Spurs because they finished in the relegation zone 4 years earlier.

    Still bloody there.

Millwall fan here; signed up after we signed Mason. Bored during lockdown hence the post.

Mason is a bang average Championship player and nothing more than a rotation option at this stage; we'd probably be stronger if we spent his wages elsewhere. Heard that he's only completed 90 minutes twice in his career which is an outstandingly shocking statistic. Can see why Derby were happy to get rid of him.

    The other two players we've taken from you;

Scott Malone - had a solid season, one of our better players this season, and very consistent. Scored some important goals and not looked out of place in any games. A decent Championship player.

George Evans - Class, pure class. What a signing he's turning out to be. Not sure how he was rated at Derby, or why he has been let go. To be honest, I had never heard of him before we signed him. Some of his passing from the back is a joy to watch and hasn't looked out of place when it comes to the defending side either, got man of the match today all be it against a terrible Wycombe team. One of the first names on the team sheet and he's only been here for a month.

My prediction of Derby making the play-offs didn't come true.... Maybe next season, why hasn't Sibley kicked on though? He looked like a wonderkid against us last year when you beat us 3-2.

Evans is a very tidy player but has real issues with injury.  Think that's why we got him from Reading for a similar price to the one you paid. In the old days he's what you'd refer to as a utility player. He also has a habit of a run of form for a few games then has a bit of a non entity spell..

Malone never seemed to be a winger or full back to me . He was OK at both - not brill at either.  Think he played for you before didn't he he and the reaction when he went back was marmite like the opinion on him here.

Bennett is totally pants and seems to have two brain cells.  I can't say anymore though a few disagree at least on his footballing attributes.

Sibley gives away a lot of free kicks and this puts us under pressure in tight games as were not to proficient in front of goal .  Rooney seems to have made the decision what he costs in giving chances to opponents outweighs attacking threat at the other end. I would like to see him get more game time but there we go.

THe had one good game against Millwall

That propelled him to a super player status with some fans

Think that's unfair. He was excellent against Fulham and Blackburn before lockdown.  He has a lot of potential but it probably won't be used here. He should be good for 10-12 goals a season.  I expect him to move in the summer and I fancy a premier league side will take a punt for the 3 or 4 million we will inevitably take.  He's losing value and career movement sat here. He's not getting game time because he gives away too many free kicks .  If we were more on the front foot and scoring freely the occasional goal from a silly free kick is accepted .  If you only normally score once a game it's not.

  10. 700K was a decent price.  Seen punctured balls move faster than that. Defender unsighted the goalie.  Was expecting a thirty yard screamer with Thunderstruck by AC/DC as a soundtrack.

Not Thorne-related, but Colin Todd isn’t particularly happy with how the club has treated him, either!

I assume this started before Mel’s time though.

Not sure about that one.  Excellent player for the club, but he was pants as a manager to be honest.   I think Derby have always treated there old players pretty well, certainly the ones who live locally. Particularly Pickering. If he was complaining about old players getting better treatment than him, I'd take the point. But his moan is about previous Derby managers getting tickets to the directors box.

Has he offered his PFA player of the year trophy to the club .  Sure they'd have it if he offered.  Perhaps he's looking to sell it.

Wrong decision for who? Whittaker stayed and signed a pro and Derby shipped him out a year into a 3year contract. Nobody seems to be questioning Derbys loyalty but have been slating a 16year old for having no loyalty ?‍♀️

Did he or was Derby the best offer he had at the time. Perhaps he had 20 offers but liked it here as it suited him at the time.  That would be personal choice rather than loyalty. He has had a fair few first team games and then left for a team higher in the table to play for a manager he knows well so it's worked out well for him. If he hadn't signed a pro contract here, would he have the games elsewhere to secure that move.  Derby couldn't ship him out, he had a contract and chose to move.

Been scrolling through the podcasts on Talk Derby to me and came across the Lee Camp series.

Most will probably loath him on this forum, but he comes across very well. Speaks from the heart and 500 plus games in his career so far speaks volumes for dedication and desire.

Certainly goes up in my estimation.

Had quite a chat with him and Giles Barnes, Leacock and Tudgay at a place in Derby on its opening night in 2009.  He was certainly the most likeable and down to earth. Seemed a very polite fella.

Thought it might have benefitted us for him to come on sooner, as his aggressive nature might have helped.

Probably his dip in form earlier in the season, has almost made him a bit of a fall guy for what was going wrong. He’s still young, learning and I’m fairly hopeful Wayne knows that young players form comes and goes. So I think we’ll see plenty more of him.

Does make me wonder if he’s a bit of a confidence player because at times last season he was magical, odd games this he’s been quiet in games. Got to be patient with him though, remember his age.

He's a good player but gets far to engaged in the petty tit for tit.  he'll play more if he fouls less. Free kicks in dangerous areas really cost in this league.

Bogle's goal helps the blades clinch the win that takes them on to 11 points. Our record continues to live

Does he still live in Derby.  Fire and pitchforks at the county border refusing him entry.
