Just watching the pre match Huddersfield v Burnley, I'm getting goose bumps thinking about the occasion and atmosphere tomorrow. Football is f****** back folks, and we're still here!

So excited for tomorrow. I know I will feel really emotional walking out into the stadium for the first time this season. At times really thought wouldnt get to do that again when CK bid died. So I'll be the emotional one hiding in the biggest sunglasses i can find looking at the pitch with a huge smile on my face in west upper

Tomorrow will see the Rams reborn into a new era 

Only one sleep before it starts. Like a kid at Christmas I can't wait. The walk to the ground after a couple of shandies,the smell of the burger vans,the mingling of the crowd,the buzz of excitement. Walking through the turnstiles,up the stairs,the loud hum getting louder, up more steps and you are there. The noise of the crowd getting louder through the music, the expectation of what the season holds. The 'We are Derby' poem belted out, the roar when the teams come out. This is football. This is what I love. The season starts tomorrow at 3pm. I CANNOT WAIT! UTR!

I listened to most of that on my way to work this morning and got through his time with The Rams.  Also interesting to hear his take on him leaving and how he thought it had little to do with Clement and more with the powers that be!!

I listened to the Rams Review Podcast, which has an interview with Simon Dawkins, who is
now back in the US playing for Monterey Bay, a team in the USL football league. I can recommend
this as a good listen, especially his take on Maclaren and 14/15 team.
Out of interest, I tuned in to watch his team play New York Redbulls 2 - he's still got it, at 34,
and scored a fantastic header, they went on to win 2 nil. 

Hopefully we'll be looking back next may thinking how this thread was the start of out L1 invincibles season.

I think when it comes to Roofe, its time to make a sacrifice.
Rangers can have Knight, but we get Roofe in exchange.
We need goals more than we need a player of knights undoubted talents.
I think i am correct in thinking that the efl rules have stopped us paying for any players, but exchanging players for players isnt covered by that rule.
 

will just be some under 23s and 18s  I think, give this a miss the day before the opening game save some money. Notice Matlock blew promotion last year could not score and think they have only scored 1 goal all pre-season and actually could not even field a team against Alfreton, could be a predictable 0-0

As a club, we were strong supporters of the "Save Derby County" campaign as we strongly believe no fan base or community should have to face losing their football team and we were overjoyed when our friends at Clowes UK came to the rescue. Clowes UK sponsor Matlock Town including our away strip so it's fantastic to all be part of the same football family.
To celebrate the continued links, The Proctor Cars Stadium will be hosting Derby County on Friday 29th July with a 7:45pm kick off. It promises to be a fantastic evening of celebrations as the Gladiators will wear our Clowes UK away strip for the first time ever, the Clowes UK Cup will be up for grabs and they will be in attendance and we get to celebrate together the saving and hopefully thriving existence of the club you all love.
