Went to watch my local team Macclesfield Town play Port Vale today with no rams game on. Local Derby, all ticket with the Port Vale manager John Askey absolutely idolised by the Macc fans from when he was manager and player at Macc.
More Vale fans than Macc fans so decent atmosphere.
Macc's financial issues are well documented and they don't have a shirt sponsor. Quite ironic that our Wayne has a £20m house about 4 miles away in Prestbury, home to a number of footballers and a very affluent area.
Really good end to end action with Macc coming from behind to win 2>1
Everyone got searched going in - elderly couple in front of me not impressed about being frisked and on the basis both husband and wife were well into their 70s they had a point. Flair went off near us in the first half, don't think it was them.
This is real grass roots football, and enjoyable. £15 for me £5 for my 16 year old lad
I know today was non league day, anybody else go along to watch a match and enjoy it?

Thought he was brilliant, breaking up play with his tackling and driving the team forward with some great passing. Had a decent effort first half off his left boot if I remember correctly.
One of the best PP debuts I have seen in a while

What apology would you accept. Turn up at your door?
It's not punishment to be fined 6 weeks wages, 80 hours community service and then still have to face punishment in court?
Fook me, I've seen 2 people on their phones while driving to work this morning. I was doing dead on 40 in a 40 road works zone and people were going past doing 45-55.
What happens if they all crash? What about the people who don't leave a big enough gap from the car in front?
Because if they crash and you want to talk about what could have happened and then punish them I imagine the punishment won't be much less severe.
Would you accept Bennett's apology if it was hand written on bog roll to give it that realness feel or would that be him now guilty of thinking he can scribble on a bit of bog roll
People just want blood and something to be angry about all the time. I've got some news for people... you're all daft Bamfords too at times.

To my mind, the two of them need to be subject to disciplinary measures by the club and criminal charges by the police resulting in a courts judgements on the incident.
In the meantime they shouldn't be sitting on their arses at home, lounging about, they have a job of work to do for the club and they can bloody well pitch in and give their all for the club together with whatever punishment is eventually deemed appropriate

Do we have anyone that can launch the ball into the box? We seem to come up against a number of teams with a long thrower including that lad from Brum yesterday yet we seem to be lacking in that department.
The last Derby player with a long throw I can remember was Rory Delap.
    Come on Cocu sort it......😏

With the disappointing start to the season, injuries and the latest off field incident is there a chance Cocu could throw in the towel and resign?
I hope not and thought he spoke well at the press conference but must clearly be wondering what on earth he has signed up for.
Interesting that Mel has been silent on the matter and rightly so,
If ever we needed 3 points on the back of a terrible week it is tomorrow

As disappointing as it is, I’m not going to let the actions of individual actions of idiots impact my feelings about my club. It’s horrible to see us get this kind of publicity, and the club is being dragged through the dirt because of the actions of a select few but what more could we have done? Every club has socials or bonding sessions. Do we need to get to a point where a club representative has to babysit these players to make sure they behave? It’s not a case of breaking an ambiguous law or being unlucky.
I trust the club to leave it with the police and then deal with it in the way they deem fit. What we do need more than anything though is to rally around the club. Give our support to the players who have enough respect and brain cells to be sensible and get to play on Saturday. The hysteria surrounding the incident will pass eventually, but it’ll make it a lot easier if we do our talking on the pitch.
I’ll be there on Saturday, I haven’t considered changing my decision to make the 5 hour round trip to do so. I completely understand the various reasons people can’t/don’t attend, but I hope there aren’t too many who have decided to not go based on the three idiots.
Three points and a great atmosphere isn’t going to get rid of all the negative publicity, but it’ll give everyone involved with the club a huge lift which we all really need.

Poynton ram got a reaction from REDCAR in Lampard and the Chelsea job
With Chelsea thumped again you would have to think the pressure is intensifying on Sarri.
Should he lose his job will the Chelsea Board be considering Frank as his replacement? Surely too soon for Frank but then again look how well Solksjaer is doing at Utd, admitting he is less of a rookie.
I hope Uncle Mel has negotiated a decent release fee for Frank....

Poynton ram reacted to David in Lampard and the Chelsea job
I have spoken with Mel tonight and wanted to clear a couple of things up and issue a gentle reminder of an interview when was aired on TalkSport on Wednesday.
There has been a lot of talk about Lampard’s announcement being delayed until the 1st July for FFP, this is not true. The situation is the same as it was on Wednesday when Mel spoke on TalkSport, the club are waiting to hear the outcome of the negotiations between Frank and Chelsea.
If Frank does leave, please go back and listen to Mel’s interview on TalkSport where he discusses the type of manager the club will be looking at bringing in.
The club wish to continue the style of play we saw under Frank, be open to using the academy players and a manager that we, the fans, will have a connection with and won’t be booing after the first goal of the season is conceded!
This clearly rules out a number of managers on the bookies shortlists so don’t get yourself worked up when a manager goes evens.
We’re all frustrated, the club are aware, but stay calm, try and be patient. Monday morning and the start of pre season is more about fitness, seeing which players have indulged over the summer a little too much and need to run an extra lap around Moor Farm, no real coaching takes place. Whilst not ideal, it shouldn’t impact our preparations for the season too much.

What about Sol Campbell? Did a great job at Macclesfield, well connected in the game, clearly doesn't need the money and must be wanting a more high profile job now.

Anybody spotted any of the players away on holiday?
I know a few have international commitments but the vast majority must be away now.
Whilst I am guessing the younger lads will be in Ibiza or somewhere similar I am assuming Carson is either away fishing in Scotland or caravanning in North Wales.
Marriott no doubt golfing in Portugal?
Not sure about Waghorn, camping in Robin Hoods Bay maybe?
