I’m chuffed, can’t stand the old fart. And the other dinosaurs who chat rubbish.
I blocked him on Twitter years ago and stopped watching MOTD.
how big are the egos of those ruling themselves out? Who said they were required anyway?? Alex Scott gets every football related gig anyway so I’m stunned she won’t do it.

Hear you, but I have doubts that people tune in to listen to the punditry.

Thing is, I don't think anyone would have any complaints with this.
Game after game, running directly after each other with a graphic between. More highlights less punditry where they get to watch a foul on 25 angles before calling the ref a disgrace.

I don't watch it specifically because Lineker and his cronies are on it. I want to watch football not listen to their completely inane drivel.

Here's a random idea - let's just have a MOTD with just football.  No chat, no presenters, maybe no commentators either.  Just footie that we can make our own minds on what's good/bad, right or wrong.  You never know we might be able to have more actual football to fill the available time

Can SKY presenters pundits resign as well?

Made my month. Can't stand the guy. If he never came back on TV that would be the perfect outcome.
Then he can post whatever he wants on Twitter and I can just block his account.

Excellent news. Perhaps we can now have a football programme that just shows football without all the pointless nonsense in between of a bunch of ex players saying nothing of interest or import, whilst robbing licence fee payers of 100s of thousands a year in wages.

Agreed.Doubt we will see another 10 servant ,the way modern football is. Hope he has won over the fans that used to give him stick. Last of Nigel’s very good signings.

The man's an absolute warrior. For many, a single ligament injury can signal the end of a career but to to fully recover from three ACLs is truly remarkable. I can't fathom how anyone could endure that amount of physical rehab of the deeply unpleasant kind just to play football, but Fozzy has done it quietly and without fuss. Not only that, but here he is with 10 years under his belt, still churning out MOTM level performances almost weekly.
As @spondon_ram suggests, a testimonial is very much in order, though David Clowes might easily be forgiven for having more pressing concerns in during this particular season. I'm certain though that the owners will do something for him when the opportunity presents and equally sure the fans will turn out in droves to show their support and admiration when they do. I also think that should he wish to, he'd make a great coach and mentor for our younger lads when his career as a player is finally over.

I love Fozzy. Always have, always will. Some of his crossing during Mac1 was glorious.
To have the determination to come back from the major injuries, reinvent yourself and be one of the top performers after 10 years is a great achievement and testament to his character.
Seems like a thoroughly decent bloke too. That's important to a club like ours and seems to help the young lads stay grounded.

Fozzy has been an exceptional servant for our club, no more so than this year when he has been a rock playing in an unusual position for him. He has the occasional slip up but so does everyone, we tend to pick up on the odd misplaced pass from a defender far more than we do a forward who blazes over the bar! There are lots of reasons I want us to go back up this year but one of them would be a fitting reward for this unassuming stalwart of our club. To have the guts and dedication to come back from so many operations and still be willing to put his body on the line he has my complete admiration.

I do wish the 2 knoobheads who used to sit in front of me belittling Forsyth all game had stayed on another season. It would have killed them to see him play so well and celebrate 10 years at the club as captain.

Anyhow, well done to a magnificent servant to the club, a great ambassador and a decent player. Thank you.

Weird. He’s had a bad game today, but a very good season so far. He’s played his part in the rebuilding of the club on the pitch this season, contributing to a great defensive effort and unbeaten run for a large chunk of the season….but yeh let’s revert to writing the bloke off after a decade of service to the club because of a poor game today (along with a number of his teammates) ??‍♂️

Rhys Brailsford sent off for a second yellow second half.
Their sub scored the second in injury time just after he'd come on.
We looked better in defence with Harrison Solomon back but he visibly tired towards the end. If Max comes back next week we'll be stronger again.
The Chelsea lads were cup-tied today so we looked a bit toothless up front. But small steps in the right direction.
    Darren Robinson MOM for me.

Sad news and a reminder that we are all getting older when our generation of heroes are dying much more regularly, it seems.
I loved Motson's commentary and the fact that his son is a Derby fan was icing on the cake.
    Rest well, Motty!

My exhusband was grumpy enough for both of us so I’m growing old cheerfully! Anyway, my season ticket was in west and the people around me were lovely! I think a few flask bearing and blanket hugging oldies have  given us all a bad name - mind you when I get the need to equip myself with these items I shall remain determinedly cheerful! So there! ?

Hi guys!! I just want to thank you for your welcoming in representation of all Galician Rams. We had such a nice and funny time.
Pride Park is even more impressive than we thought watching from TV, and  the team was a 10 the other day. Also, every person that we met before, during and after the game was extremely nice, and we loved not only the team, but the city as well.
I'm sure that we'll be back as soon as we can.  We had already been Derby fans for a few years, but after this experience we are Rams for life.
You people are world class. GO RAMS!!

The first time I visited the Baseball Ground was in the 'Boys Corner'/Normanton End for a reserve game, on Saturday, 27th January 1962, with Derby Reserves vs Bolton Wanderers Reserves, which the Rams won 6-0.
It was the day the first team were playing Charlton Athletic in the FA Cup and I can remember shouting to the Derby goalkeeper, Ken Oxford, what was the first team score.
I was 9 years old, along with a friend, also 9, my brother & his friend, both aged 7, we got the bus from Breadsall Estate to Derby, Tenant Street, got a free bag of chips from the 'Savoy' chippie on the Morledge because my mother worked there, walked to the BBG, walked backed to town, and then home for tea.
I'm nearly 71 years of age, and wherever I've lived and worked around the world, and there's been many, I've taken my love of my home town and football club with me, and I can still remember that first visit to the BBG as it was yesterday.

Shame about the loss but we had to lose sometime and sounds like we didn’t play too well today. Always liked Lewis Wing as a player.
Shame it was to the parasites but apparently it’s up there with one of their best ever games, which probably tells you everything you need to know about them.
I stupidly looked at their forum and the delusional and inaccurate comments from their fans, who clearly have no understanding of the timeline of EFL charges against us, is quite frankly astonishing. It goes to show how a narrative can be put forward and believed by those who want to believe. One comment said that our fans on this thread showed no understanding of their grievances against us. They’re right on that point.
Anyway, leave them to one of the best games in their history and we can move on to Lincoln. Need to get another run going now.
Personally, I am enjoying this season. I am glad I have a club to support and that the actions of a t***** of an owner, the EFL and two parasitic clubs, not brave enough to take anything to court because they knew they would lose, failed to take that away from me and the generations to come.
    UTR ?
