sage got a reaction from Eddie in The coronabrexit thread. I mean, coronavirus thread
I hear Sage (the science bods, not me) are recommending pre Christmas restrictions but BoJo fears he wouldn't get it past his cabinet never mind his party.
I'm expecting 'asking for caution but nothing concrete' now and further steps 28th/29th.

Well in that case
I'm still watching Where Eagles Dare on Boxing Day. I don't care what they say.

They’re asking for retired teachers to help out with the assumed ill teachers missing work after Xmas.
You can’t volunteer direct to schools though, you have to apply to a new teaching agency set up by the Landord of the local pub to the Education Secretary’s constituency home.
(You can hide this mods, I’m just feeling mischievous tonight)

Well having caught up with the latest speculation I must admit I'm fancying the idea of Appleby/Gadsby over Kirchner. No doubts Kirchner sounds like a decent prospect and has his heart in the right place but the Stretford/Rooney/DC connection worries me a little bit.
Especially with Rooney SO adamant he's not leaving, it just sounds like he's consolidating power at the club. Again, nothing sinister because I do believe the intentions are good, but I feel like that just leaves us basically owned by our manager and it doesn't sound a healthy position to be in.
No point hand-wringing and worrying though. There's nothing we can do if that's how it pans out. We're about as powerless as we've ever been as a fanbase.

I've got a sunlight light. I just use it for an hour at dusk to make the day slightly longer.
I also take vitamin D tablets for 4 months every winter.
Ive had my issues over the years but have developed the strategies to keep going

It's not guff though... it makes you less likely to spread it as far and wide and also reduces your chance of serious ill health. If more people have it, fewer people are ill which allows for more time and space for those who do become seriously ill.

It's what the 8 members of my and my missus' family who work in the NHS at every level from Porter up to ICU consultant tell me. They're ducking knackered and fed up of people like you claiming knowledge that you don't possess.

Early Doors is a very underrated comedy. Brilliant, set in a pub in the early 2000’s. Only 2 series made but the characters are great.
On a different scale, The Inbetweeners is class. A modern classic!

Though I've liked more recent sitcoms, for me, The Royle Family was the last great sitcom.

I'm not sure if they're sitcoms or rather observational wryly amusing drama but I enjoy stuff penned by Craig cash.
Royle family and early doors both have some cracking moments (as well as moments of pathos)

Shameless plug but one summer when I was off from uni I made a compilation of some of our team goals under Clough, McClaren, Clement and Wassall. Not watched it in a while myself, enjoy.

I don’t think for a minute that any really would; but there are those who express themselves in a kind of “my death wish / doom seer opinion will be proved right” kind of way, to the point that you begin to think being right is more important to them than actually surviving. .. A kind of Spike Milligan inscription of a headstone .. “I told you I was Ill”

Can I also add, consumption of said beer made we fall asleep halfway through Liverpool v Newcastle and I awoke in a state of confusion.

sage reacted to angieram in Alan Nixon Breaks Silence on American Billionaire Bid
I think if it was the difference between us surviving or not, very very few season ticket holders would expect/demand refunds for any matches played behind closed doors. I know I wouldn't.
