  1. After supporting the Rams for nearly 60 years and seen all the fantastic glory days I never would have imagined that two non league clubs in Derbyshire would progress further in the FA Cup than Derby County. Its truly shocking how far this once mighty club has fallen...it's lowest ebb since 1888..how thoroughly depressing. The only way is up.

  2. Such sad news.I don't often post on here but check in regularly and I always loved reading B4s posts. He was definitely my favourite poster as I'm sure he was for most of us. He will be sadly missed on this forum but of course our thoughts must go to his family and friends at this awful time for them. Iwas feeling a bit choked up thinking he missed that great performance yesterday but then again I feel sure he was up there somewhere watching and cheering us on.R.I.P Daniel.

You're right, he was at Ipswich after us too. Stupid brain misremembered. Must be cos I've not drank enough beer.

I was thinking of Wigan. He'd taken both Wigan and Bradford to the premier league. Had a torrid time at Wednesday, but they had plenty of off field issues with money (according to Wikipedia) so at the time, that won't have hurt his stock too much.

Yep...I was really happy with his appointment at the time...He had taken Bradford City to the Premier League and kept them up...he took Wigan to the Premier League and also kept em up...I stupidly thought maybe he can do the same for us...how wrong I was!

He'd done a great job at Ipswich and decent at Bradford. I thought he was a really shrewd appointment when he arrived.

He was just as bad at Ipswich as he was at PP!

Around 70 more peterborough tickets released today

I phoned DCFC ticket office...told a few tickets left so ordered one...it's justed arrived but in "Main North Stand"...is this where the away fans are situated? Cheers mate.

  6. Very frustrating opening day...even more so when the teams whom a lot of our fans consider to be our biggest rivals for promotion Barnsley Blackpool Bolton all also at home scored 12 goals between them and conceded precisely nil! Dream start for all three.! Shame we couldn't follow suit.

  7. Minimum expectation? Promotion via the playoffs. If we can't get automatic promotion from this poor league..we are Derby County...then serious questions should be asked of Warne. The facts are we are the 18th best supported club in the country..and that's playing Accrington Stanley Forest Green Rovers and Cheltenham...but we finished last season  51st position in the league that's the biggest discrepancy of the 92... this cannot be allowed to continue. And Im fully confident it won't...Autos it is!

Just out of interest why not?  We spent our last two seasons in the championship in relegation battles with better squads than we have now.

Eh? Last season? Beating teams such as Fulham Bournemouth and Sheffield United? Two doing OK in the Premier League and the other heading there.? Are you forgetting a major reason why we were relegated?

  9. Bolton's next 3 games..at home to Shrewsbury..at home to Accrington..at home to Fleetwood. They could easily win those 3 matches. Then they would be uncatchable.Just down to us and Posh for that final place? I actually think our next two home games could turn out to be very difficult fixtures..both are competent teams.Yikes!

We have been the better team 2nd half but again zero quality where it matters in the final third..

    Still time.

Relegation threatened Hudders one nil down to promotion chasing Middlesbrough..Colin gives his half time team talk..rallies the troops..and they promptly slam in four goals in about 15 minutes ....see the difference?👀.I'm convinced if we'd had appointed Warnock during the last six or seven seasons we'd be a Premier League club by now.

  11. Well I would definitely have settled for a draw before the game...a point added to our total and the unbeaten run continues...so we are one measley point down on the day and lots of folk saying automatic promotion has gone.! Over reaction in my opinion.. Especially as if I've checked the upcoming fixtures correctly  (I'm old!) 4 of the next 5 matches are at Pride Park..all difficult but winnable. The table could look very when that run of games is over.

I agree that actually any result from Sheff W v Tractors is good for us simply because of the look of the table right now.

If we win today and Plymouth also win, then the points from the top will be as follows:

If Sheff W win - SW 64, Plym 64, Rams 56, Tractors 53 - still an 8 point gap to 2nd but we have a game in hand over Plym and Tractors and better form than both and will have overtaken the Tractors, important psychologically at this stage as it'd now be them doing the chasing rather than us

If Tractors win - Plym 64, SW 61, Tractors 57, Rams 56 - only a 5 point gap to 2nd and only 1 point behind the Tractors with a game in hand

If a draw - Plym 64, SW 62, Rams 56, Tractors 56 - we would go ahead on GD, a 6 point gap to 2nd

If Plymouth draw or lose it will look even better for us.  As long as we win today, which (sticks neck out) I think we will.

    Your maths doesn't stack up!

Yes. I’ve been. Ram since the early Brisn Clough days, and although I didn’t go to the Finn Harps game I have never seen such a one sided match in all those years, especially the second half!

What about the 8-2 demolition of Spurs? Not forgetting the 5-0 v  same opponents!

Re: Dobbin. People have to be realistic (I know - ridiculous). If he were some kind of superstar wonder kid and/or ‘the finished article’ he wouldn’t have been sent to League 1. What he lacks in finishing he more than makes up for in overall contribution.  He’s doing well. He’s developing. Give the kid a break (I know, another ridiculous comment).

Great comments! People need to Google Harry Kane at the same age...on loan at lower league clubs and not really pulling up any trees...Dobbin will have a decent career in football.

  15. We could have nicked it but very important not to lose against a team above us in the league. It keeps our unbeaten run going and showing we are becoming hard to beat which will be very important come the second half of the season.Hopefully Warne will bring in 2 or 3 new recruits in January to give us a boost.Overall pleased with the way the season is panning out.

Hardly any interesting David v Goliath ties. Still a great draw for TV, lots of all premiership ties for them to show (yawn). Wander who we would have got if the teams had all been in alphabetical order as they used to be?

Man City Under 21s v Chelsea Under 21s! As you say..yawn!
