How's it going mate? Has it stopped raining yet?
Had bugger all rain so far. I think the most was in Manchester but that sounds normal for that part of the country. Loving the 2 weeks here doing walks in the Peak District.

Early morning from our flat in Belper. Day 10 heading into the Silk Mill and found the address where my grandfather lived in Belper so we’ll go stalking the neighbourhood. Highlights this week, walking from Bakewell to Chatsworth, cycling the Monsal Trail, going to the Arboretum where there was a memorial towards the children displaced from home ( my father and uncle sent to Oz) and a great Sunday with relatives at the Nadee and the Dragon. Sadly after 5 weeks we start winding down before heading home next Monday.
This morning’s brekkie.

Over 78,000 at the MCG. I’ve read that is Newcastle’s largest ever crowd.

Baked beans should never be seen on a plate. On the other hand haggis and black pudding should be compulsory eating for breakfast.

They may have got things right on the pitch recently but this seems onimous , it gives me last days of Mel vibes. Owner no longer putting cash in and just borrowing it, until the credit runs out. I'm not bothered if they get points deduction and relegation but I really hope thay don't have to go through the insolvency s****.
The airline that 777 owned in Australia was put into administration a couple of days ago.

Retired at 59, not sure about your superannuation system but here your employer has to put in 11% and depending on what union eba, employees top up on top of that I think 3-4%. A flat 15% tax rate on monies going in so a good incentive to up top up personally. After age 60 any outgoings is tax free. At 67 you can get the aged pension.
When I retired I spent 9 months refurbishing both my daughters homes as well as plenty of travel. I had a local school wanting me to help with casual maintenance 3 years ago and word of mouth I’m now doing 3 days at 3 different schools a week. Good thing is I go on holidays whenever I want. Leaving for Scotland, Croatia and England for 6 weeks in 12 hours. -
Nearly 4 pm here and been up since 6. 9.30 pm kickoff so that’s a pleasant change. Have to be up at 5am for our flight over to Ol Blighty tomorrow so hopefully have a pleasant nights sleep.

Just watched that! You got to see a great game, hope you’re not too soaked! The NRL is my second sporting love.
Got a bit of a touch up tonight. Bit of a learning curve for our youngsters. 6 new players so far this year so onwards to Cronulla next week. Got absolutely soaked but I got to try out my new wet weather gear for our 6 day hike in Scotland so all good.

After 6 weeks over here it’s time to go home. Brekkie before a 17 hour flight to Perth then a 41/2 hour flight to Brisbane.
