GB SPORTS reacted to Crewton in Warne Out Out
Where's your evidence for that? When did we last "cruise" to promotion? The last 4 I remember we won effectively in play-off games, at best 2 games before the end of the season. "Cruising"? Not since 1969.

GB SPORTS reacted to MACKWORTHRAM in Derby v Cheltenham Town - Match Day Thread
Honestly some of our fans are genuinely awful. The sense of entitlement some of them have is absolutely staggering.
Yesterday was all about winning. The performance didn't matter. We're absolutely littered with injuries. Booking them off at half time? Who's that helping?
Cheering the captain when he's subbed off?
It's absolutely ridiculous it really is.
Now I'm seeing "Blackett-Taylor hadn't really shown anything yet" he's been here 5 minutes, trained with us twice. I despair I really do.
All I hear is "we aren't good enough, Peterborough are better than us, Bolton are better than us"
Says who? Of course Peterborough were brilliant when they came here. But that was the same Peterborough side we put 4 past on their own ground? Bolton also just scraped past Cheltenham, Bolton lost at Leyton Orient.
Oxford fans watching us that second half at their ground would have thought we were the best team in the league, we were outstanding.
You cannot play well every week.

Our midfield is nonexistent, Collins is no goalscorer, just gets lucky often, Bird hides all game long, Warne is not fit for Sunday league, we won in spite of our players.
Am I doing this right?

GB SPORTS reacted to Jourdan in Does Warne deserve the vitriol aimed at him?
Constructive criticism?
Like fans calling for him to go despite winning 11 in 16?

He's not even a modern day legend. He's a Liverpool legend full stop.

Lol, yeah, let's play football and lose, we'll all feel better about that won't we?!
Is this still a DCFC forum?

GB SPORTS reacted to Dava75 in Warne Out Out
I don’t think we are poor. However, our performances and, in turn, the entertainment factor in the last few have been very poor. Add to that the fact we’ve missed opportunities to go top against lower in the table opposition and it makes it feel worse.
if we were not winning as many games and still playing that brand of football - I agree with you entirely that he would be gone.
but it’s primarily a results business for managers and the table shows (for now) he’s getting them.

No - nothing changes as a result - the performance was cr@p, the game has gone and the result stays the same 2-1 to Derby - and be that lucky, poor or whatever it ….it’s still 3pts in the bag with only 2 defeats and 2 draws in the last 14 games. We remain 3 points away from top - and 7 points clear of 7th with 17 games to go. 👍🏻🐏

Easy win, the rams are going UP

Serious/not being critical question: so why didn’t you give the task to a more junior member of staff?
I’m old enough to remember computers first coming into the workplace. The chat then was the same as now - we’ll all be redundant/on the beach. What has happened is that jobs have changed and the workplace has changed and skills required have changed in many places but the overall number of jobs have not. Might not the same happen with AI?

GB SPORTS reacted to G STAR RAM in Klopp to Stand Down at End of Season
Dont think we've ever been an era where teams spend more on one player than the value of the club just one division below.
Like I said, the difference between last season and this season speaks volumes.
He's certainly a good manager but I'm sure there's plenty of 'lesser' managers that would be with the resources that he has.

Meh. Good manager but the difference between last season and this season shows that he's just another manager who's quite dependent on money.

Being described on Sky as some kind of national tragedy rather than a rich guy deciding he’s full.

This is no dig at them but their owner is happy for them to be punching at the top of league one/around the play offs with the idea that they sell on and reinvest. Our club wouldn’t be happy with that which is probably why they’re able to cherry pick these non league lads, play them regularly so they’re up to speed. Fall short of promotion but then sell the gem for a good whack.

GB SPORTS reacted to Comrade 86 in What would you ask?
I'd ask David Clowes whether he regrets spending a fifth of the family net worth saving a club where a good portion of the 'fans' illustrate zero loyalty or gratitude, preferring instead to sneer and smear him every time we don't win.
I'd also ask whether given this increasingly widespread snarkiness only a season and a bit into his tenure, whether he is also now feeling that it would be way less grief to just leave the graceless gobshites to sort the club's future from their own pockets.
