Football of the highest order played without fear. The play ran like a river, eddying and flowing with graceful purpose sweeping all before it, on famous mud. We’ll never see it repeated. An afternoon of beacon-like light in the dimness of the industrial and Smokey chimneys of the 70’s. 

RIP FRANNY.
You get the impression that everything he did in life was done with utter commitment zest and hard work. 
A man who had success with everything he touched be it playing football, administering football, training racehorses or manufacturing toilet roll.
He probably never wasted a day in his life, that last game at Ipswich away, along with that goal at Man City and the fracas with Hunter will live with me forever.

The man who made me support Derby!! RIP little big man!!!!! 

He used to be Chairman/owner at Ilkeston Town. He has also admitted he has done time for Fraud. Again a fit and proper owners test either non existing or not fit for purpose.(National League)

I think Paul Warne is doing a decent job under the circumstances, Derby County is a huge job at the best of times , but taking it on so soon after nearly losing the club was extremely difficult, I am seeing shoots of recovery and hopefully he will be able to add a couple more pieces to the jigsaw in January, the club is slowly reawakening again , let’s give the manager and his players all our support

My wife passed away at the end of January from a very rare blood cancer. I cant describe the pain and heartache i feel every single day, and the massive void she has left in our lives will never be filled. I can understand exactly how you must be feeling at this moment, i too have been there,  so  make sure you tap into the help and support available to you from friends, family and those at DCFC. God bless you Josh and keep strong.

I lost my wife to cancer 4 years ago.
There are no words for the pain. No map out of the dark. You just keep putting one foot in front of the other, and by tiny degrees it eases. The gaps between episodes of despair get fractionally wider.
In my experience, masses of support from all around are 10% of the battle. 90% is having a reason to carry on. I had two teenagers. I suspect football may be vital for Josh in that regard.

Sorry but we played decent stuff just couldn’t score when we had pressure on. Get grip, put your big boy pants on and realise that we have no divine right to promotion because we’re Derby County - big club who shouldn’t be in League 1.

He might not be good for Derby, he might not play the football we all crave, he may not lead us to promotion but to describe him as “a disgrace to this football club” is frankly, a disgraceful thing to say IMO.

I am afraid I got very very drunk.
 

Almost!  My wife was very heavily pregnant at the time and went into labour on Sunday 2nd while the highlights show was on. I kept saying 'yes I'll drive you to hospital once I've seen the Derby goal'!  Eventually our daughter popped out in record time!
And yes, two weeks later, I recall sitting on the sofa holding the wee baby, watching the awful events at Hillsborough unfold on TV.

Coventry 1989, only remembered  because of Blades goal.
Game was the week before the Hillsborough Disaster i think.
Sat in C Stand, goal was in the Normanton End an absolute screamer from 25 yards.

Loved the Singing Detective (as with much of his work). RIP.
