quite right. but like it or not chelsea are worldwide news. were not. in my head we are, but in real life. no.
i bet there thousands of Japanese crying in there noodles over chelsea who have never heard of teams like us. Proper football teams that made this sport what it is.
unfortunately its these plastics that sponsors/sky aim at. which allow a team like chelsea to pay £29M a month in wages.
how can that be right?
it’s scandalous

I said to my old dad after the game today (he is to unwell to go these days, but still a massive fan). Thing is we won today in 2nd gear, played pretty well, but if needed could have raised it. Especially 2nd half. Felt like we had the beating of them.
Also if Barnsley are a form team, there is little to be worried about. They were turd. Felt like if we played them for a week we'd have still won, and by more.
Great support today, as always, my son's gave it their all again.
That is what matters the most, we turn up, get behind them, and keep fighting.
And there is a sniff that we can stay up, definitely still we have a chance.

My reply.
I understand I'm pissing in the wind with this, just want us to be treated fairly which I feel we are not.
With regards to the review of our points deduction, I looked at the judgment and it was a loss of £1.96m above the upper threshold for 20/21 where a £5m covid exemption was allowed. Last nights statement was £2.5m with immediate effect to the 21/22 season.
Wouldn't change the deduction at all would it @Ghost of Clough?

I find it quite unbelievable that there is one poster who continues to side with the EFL over everything that relates to Derby County, and against Derby County over everything - even when it's not an EFL v DCFC issue (e.g. Lawrence).
Suggest he changes his handle to Rickparrying or Gumpwebbedfingering.

Lawrence does give 100%. He’s very hard working, and in fact always has been. His running stats have always been high. He tracks back and works hard for the team. His attitude seems off because of his body language, but for an attacking player his work rate can’t be questioned. Rooney would be delighted to keep him, as would I.

Pardon my French but duck Jack Wilshere! Turned us down in favour of better offers that never materialised and before IRC the £4.5K a week salary cap was applied. I'd venture that a guy who'd rather sit on his sofa unpaid than come play for us and put himself in the window in doing so, is exactly the type of player we want to be avoiding like the plague.
We've assembled a team of scrappers who are putting everything on the line for the shirt. Why upset that balance with a tackle-shirking, Billy Big Bolarks who think he's too good to roll his sleeves up? I'd take one Jags over any number of Wishere's.

As an aside to all this, an indication as to how a club can have a bearing on a persons mental health is this. My dad died suddenly on 31 Jan 22 and the first time I started to feel any cheer since his death was on Tuesday night watching Derby score 3 goals. It broke the malaise.

I said we were down with -12 points. The fact we actually stand a chance of survival with -21 is testament to the excellent work done by Rooney, the staff and players.
We’ve needed a third team to be awful after Hull pulled away and Reading look like that side.
Posh and Barnsley are long gone.
Our Pride Park form will count for so much so our backing is vital in pushing the lads on.
