They can help us by loaning us Matt Clarke again if they so desire.

    Hi all!
Just wanted to come by and thank you all for this marathon thread which I have spent far too many hours following. Great finish of a Rollercoaster thread (only matched by the legendary George Thorne Thread).
So happy to be able to keep follow the mighty rams from afar which i have been doing since the late 90's. For me it really dosen't matter which division we play as long the pride and passion is alive & present.
And also big thanks for this forum, it's been great for me since there aren't too many Rams supporters around where i live. You all do a terrific job you mods and posters.
Best wishes to you all from afar

Yes it seems likely. We should probably expect a statement early next week to confirm LR as manager.

Very much doubt he has no money. His problem was he was heading a fantastic business but before building it out he wanted to live the dream. Oh and he was in bed with Stretford and Rooney

I thought that was obvious at this point. If he had the money he'd have completed the deal. Simple as that really.

Thank you to everyone who has posted, whether fearing the worst or hopeful for the future, we have gone through this together.
And, by god, you have all helped me get through this dark time. Bless you.

I’ll add my thanks to Ed Dawes, reportered on this lengthy process and was hounded off Twitter by the idiots.

Oh come on they're f...ing useless. They've learnt absolutely nothing during this whole drawn out process. Repeating the same (phrases and) errors over and over.
No wonder MA is going to sue one of them and din't want to pay them their full invoice amount. I expect he's dealt with an administrator or two in his time. This lot include the bloke who screwed up Portsmouth, why should we be surprised?

Obviously he didn't buy the club. He may well have been interested, but not at the asking price, which is widely acknowledged as being far too much for a L1 club with diminishing assets. My reasoning is simple (although many ungrateful Newcastle fans will disagree), Ashley has, in the long run, achieved at Newcastle. I do however realise that NUFC wasn't the basket case that is currently DCFC, but he ran that football club like a business and the methods ultimately paid off. Just my opinion.

It's ridiculous. If this has happened, in order to pay the wages the funds would have had to go through the clubs banking and payroll. In which case I can't see how Quantuma weren't aware of an obvious transgression. In which case Quantuma should be punished, not the football club, which is essentially; the fans, DCFC employees, coaching staff and a handful of players.

Well, as I stated in my post, Ashley would have given us a really good chance of a return to the PL, in the long term. I never suggested it was a certainty. Just that it seemed our best chance, moving forward.

I think it’s a bit rich to pick me up on my “tone” considering your response to my original post, but there we go.
If asking questions about how much a new owner is worth is “trolling” then fair enough. I’m only asking this question because Clowes has seemingly come out of nowhere and his wallet is considerably less public than Mike Ashley for example. (I would be asking the exact same question if this was Andy Appleby).

And if you spend loads of time in the nice warm concourses while switching the heating off at home you could probably make money on the deal. Result, in more ways than one ?

I agree, but for me the main advantage of a potential MA takeover was that we would have had a really good chance of an eventual return to the PL. Obviously that ship has sailed now.
