Yes, at some point a wealthy Arab Sheikh turn up and make Mr Clowes a very generous offer.

Never thought about it but it's likely he couldn't do a worse job than the last 5 incumbents...

It’s completely unfair on the smaller teams too who have smaller squads.
The late season fixture pile up will hurt them a lot more and they aren’t the reason why games are postponed.

europia reacted to Tamworthram in I Wonder If the Players Have.............
I agree that for the vast majority of players, football is just a job and they are only doing it for the money (not a criticism of the players by the way. Clubs are not only employing them to do a job and will, more often than not, discard them once they are no longer required). However, they are all human beings and would have to be incredibly thick skinned to be able to simply ignore some of the abuse they sometimes receive from a small minority their own fans. On the other hand, I’m sure that whilst quite possibly hurt by some of the unacceptable comments seen on social media, they will understand these people are just attention seeking idiots, not truly representative of the clubs fan base and are present at every club.

For all its worth, they could go straight to peno's from kick off 😉

The next two transfer windows are critical and Warne will probably have to roll the dice to get the players who will be success under his style of management. If he has to sign the rest of the Rotherham team to get DCFC promoted to the championship, so be it 🙂. Doing nothing does not seem to be a good option.

Since the e-vapers went trick or treating at David’s house we have only played 3 league games.
3 league games in five and a half weeks.
The international break, League Cup, FA Cup lower rounds and the Pizza Cup have seriously disrupted the only competition that matters.
Now we can fully focus on league football again the excitement can resume.
Derby won’t lose another game from now until March when we will be sitting in the top two.
Heard it here first.

Well I don’t know about that, but do us season ticket holders get first dibs on the Wembley tickets?
p.s, did we win?

europia reacted to Tamworthram in I Wonder If the Players Have.............
Assuming that to be true then both the player in question and the friend strike me as a little naive to think a) the fans that had tweaked the friend necessary represent the majority of fans and b) the fans of the club in question are really any different to the vast majority of fans of all clubs. I feel confident that every club in the country/world have their fair share of trolls and keyboard warriors.

Agree most of that theory, and Sheff Utd will probably scrape past our miserable 11pts record. Heckinbottom a decent manager, but completely 'thrown under a bus' by useless Sheff Utd owners, who might yet be stupid enough to make things worse 🤞

europia reacted to MadAmster in Form in November
My thoughts entirely. A net improvement getting 1, maybe 2 strikers in, a speedy wide player, and a proper solid Seth/Hudds-like midfielder plus adequately replacing any players exiting is what is needed.

Tend to agree. 'OK' a fair reflection of the players performances so far. More to come in the long run, hopefully.

Don’t worry Mel Morris is chained to a bicycle dynamo in the basement doing penance while B4 lectures him about transfer values. All part of our new sustainability measures carbon neutral plan. All will be well

Difficult to raise any enthusiasm for this rather meaningless event. Wonder if the gate receipts would even cover the cost of switching the floodlights on ??

That's my concern, and I'm really hoping that Warne has a plan (other than Bradley) should Cashin be on his way.

europia got a reaction from BramcoteRam84 in What do we need ?
Always a problem dealing with injury prone players and Derby have had their fair share. It's a pity about JJ and his injuries, as he could have been the ideal player for us. I would prefer a new 'goal getting' striker in January, but the club won't be able to spend the big money to attract such a player. However, we definitely need some sort of upgrade on Collins.

europia reacted to jono in Derby vs Port Vale
No. We were relegated because we had points deducted. We weren’t relegated because we didn’t win enough games/get enough points.
Bris, we can have a cause and effect argument all day long and I am not for one minute excusing Mel Morris and the numerous financial “experts” he had clinging to his coat tails or indeed the numerous over priced goods we bought, but for “the good of the game” we were made an example of and relegation was part of that political process. Just saying it’s all our fault because we bought the wrong players for the wrong price is naive.
