we could be down to 11th by end of the weekend. Playoffs are a fantasy with this injury and suspension hit team. Play for fun, give the youngsters a run out and don't worry about results. Get them ready for next year.

2 out of three down to poor reffing:
    Lawrence no issues-idiotic
Waghorn harsh by ref yellow at best
    Sibley totally useless referee

A grim way of looking at it but possibly true. A good friend passed away with the virus but was terminally ill already. May have lasted a few weeks longer without it.

My Doctor says it that way. I'm worried now!  I'm told he dictates his prescriptions into the computer!

So what this says is that even with Covid the UK has miraculously healed itself in other areas, despite there being no cancer checks , delayed treatments, avoidance of GPs etc.
So being facetious here: staying away from the NHS actually improves life expectancy!
Moral of the story here is avoid statistics like the plague (Covid).

I said earlier in the week that I doubted our ability to play games too close to each other and that the Forest games would be an indicator of that.
Regretfully I have to say that our total failure to get the team up and running  for Forest just confirms to me that we don't have it in us for the run-in. We retreated to our old habit of passing backwards, sideways any way but forward. 70% possession mainly in our own half.
Even Mick McCarthy said in commentary we were too static and too negative. I don't see why that will change for the next game. We have an extra day recovery before WBA but then a short one before Brentford. I really don't see us picking up anything from either game.

We are going well and current form if maintained will see us in the playoffs. I agree with @sage about our team, but I also look at the others, many teams in this division have elderly players, a whole bunch of injuries, and will also struggle with the schedule. Reading did outrun us, but can they do that next game as well In 2 weeks time the middle table 10 teams could look completely different.
Home and away differences seem to have gone out the window which is another randomising factor.
Are we good enough to go up? Possibly, Would it be another Prem season of humiliation? yes! We already have a terrible defence, there is not a lot of signs of anything much happening to boost it. We'd get eaten alive  in the Prem

As a vulnerable person I've been very careful so far and continue to be, but your point is very well made. Have we completely missed the main transmission mechanism of this little booger? Is it just enclosed spaces for significant periods of time?
Agree about the rubbish, we are a nation of trash spreaders these days. Part of the the problem is the council have these very clever devices to clear a beach of rubbish quite quickly. So every morning it looks pristine again I'd (for now) just leave it so people get an idea of what their laziness does and feel the pain themselves.
