Deporting immigrants who break the law is a standard approach in many countries.
Angela Merkel recently voted against same-sex marriage in the German Parliament, where the ruling party are her Christian Democrats and therefore religiously influenced conservatives.
In my experience it's standard for anyone on the left to label anyone who disagrees with them "far right". It's the nature of the polarized societies we live in, driven in large part by social media algorithms.
I'll judge him as I find him.

    I lost the stadium once.
mind I'd had several pints in Jorrocks, The Tap, The Alex, Brunny, and the Merry Widows beforehand.

I think a lot of Owls fans have got things muddled up recently, re this Alonso fella...
What he actually said was "I want to buy a football club ON A WEDNESDAY..."

I don’t think they’ve forgiven Mel for having the temerity to insinuate The EFL didn’t get as good a deal from Sky as they might have. My understanding and it’s probably wide of the mark is Sky we’re the driving force in negotiations whereas The EFL should have been. They should have opened negotiations with terrestrial channels and BT (even as a bluff) to indicate to Sky it wasn’t a given they’d renew with them.

I'm largely happy with it, except school restart should have some form of stagger.
I would also add small crowds at sports events from April 12th. 25% or 4000 whichever is the smaller amount.
In both cases, too big a leap, with no time to consider limited measures.

The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Society
The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society is a 2018 historical romantic-drama film directed by Mike Newell and written by Don Roos and Tom Bezucha. The screenplay is based on the 2008 novel of the same name, written by Mary Ann Shaffer and Annie Barrows. The film stars Lily James, Michiel Huisman, Glen Powell, Jessica Brown Findlay, Katherine Parkinson, Matthew Goode, Tom Courtenay and Penelope Wilton. Set in 1946, the plot follows a London-based writer who exchanges letters with a resident on the island of Guernsey, which had been under German occupation during World War II.
Saw the trailer in the olden days (early 2020) when we could go to the cinema. Eventually got round to watching it yesterday with my wife. We both thought it was great - 9/10.

    Soul
The new Disney Pixar film about a music teacher who falls down a hole and ends up in The Great Before. His soul then gets swapped with a cat before he finds his true calling. Superb. Feel the way it examines the big questions will be lost on young kids perhaps, but for anyone 10 plus it's a great tonic to 2020.

Massive fan of Kazim & great to see him starting to get the goals his hard work deserves.
We look a totally different side with a proper focal point & he absolutely provides that. Looking at him, you know he's going to be strong & decent in the air but its his technical ability that most impresses me. The ease with which he controls the ball in the final third is such a valuable skill & largely responsible for how high we've been able to play up the pitch.
Really like the bloke as well. Big, uncompromising guy - always happy to mix it & employ the dark arts. Always encouraging his teammates & leading the pre-match huddle. And his hard work....still running with 10 mins to go tonight despite playing so much football recently
He will prove to be a excellent value signing for us - I bet Cocu regrets not gambling on him. He did look good during his brief cameos under Cocu but he could have started to make an impact a few weeks before he actually did.

Its almost crunch time for a lot of us, not knowing how we are going to feel over the next 10 days or so.

Hope everyone remembers that it’s okay to feel rubbish and isolated, there’s nothing to be embarrassed or ashamed about. It’s totally natural if you feel low in ordinary circumstances, let alone in the current climate.

I'll be very surprised if anyone "is not feeling it" this year!
It has to be getting to us all, at varying levels, doesn't it?
Lack of get-togethers.  Family traditions blown out of the window.  Holidays with nowhere to go, and nobody to see.  Just a general loss of close family ties.  And that's just those of us who haven't had it so bad, this year!
Never a problem to remember those we've lost at this time of year, but Christmas 2020 has to be the Christmas where we make sure we don't forget those still here.  Friends, family, acquaintances, neighbours.
    Talk.  Listen.  Be There.
Find time for others, folks.  I suspect there's more out there than we may realise, that need our help, and our attention this year.
Give them all the gift of caring.  It won't cost a bean, and it doesn't even need wrapping!
    Merry Christmas all.
Stay safe for yourself, and stay available, for others.

With @Davidposting his thread earlier, thought I’d bump this. Some of you might be uncomfortable with revealing any issues you are experiencing.

it was roughly this time of year when i started this thread.

    Two massive things that I have learned since;
1- being aware something isn’t right is admitting to yourself, you’re on the path to feeling better.
2- however bad you’re feeling, you’re definitely not the only one feeling that way.

Ive been told by many posters that just reading this thread gave them hope and help.

After reading a lot of posts tonight I felt I needed to say this somewhere and rather than post a new thread thought I’d drop it in here.
Every single person on here, no matter what their background is has one thing in common... Derby County. We all want us to do well at the end of the day.
In an age where people are encouraged to speak out about their issues, it’s disappointing to see posters ridiculed by others.
for me this is just a forum I look at passingly but for others it’s much more than that. This can really be a toxic place... especially after a loss!
i guess I just want to say be kind to each other, you don’t know what effect your comments can have on others.
Some things I’ve read on here tonight could be classed as bullying...Just treat others how you’d like to be treated.
    We’re all rams aren’t we ?

To be honest @Boycie i dont know what I am doing any more, what started out as a hobby has turned into some undertaking of biblical proportion proportions! Something akin to Noah and his ark.
I think that God has chosen me to ensure that the Derby shirt can live on ! I am taking them two by two (home and away) and coaxing our third shirt where possible.
forty days and forty nights of rain may ensue and that will be the sign !
the sign for me to set them free !

My own quote from his transfer thread.

    I absolutely love this signing!
At 34, he is at optimal age to be a target man. Remember Grant Holt? He had his best season as 34 and he is not the only one. He should still have needed physicality and finally having the mentality and the understanding of the game at the level it demands.
I gladly take him over our other striker options.

I don’t actually think he’s that good. It’s more a case of he’s exactly what we need. He’s the Martin cover we needed for years. He just happens to be his replacement.
I still love him to bits already like.
Edit: He’s got the best attitude I’ve ever seen from a Derby player and I’m not even a big believer in attitude or any of that baalocks.

I think you’re right. I admire a man who makes his own stand, his own opinion, and doesn’t follow cliche ridden social media momentum. On what I’ve seen so far he is a Top Man and a cracking example of a sporting player with serious leadership qualities.

I think he might go with him again for an away game against a side like Brentford. His physical presence provides a good outlet when we're undoubtedly going to be spending a lot of time in our own half. I doubt he'll last the whole game, but he should be able to make an impact still.

Fair play to the guy. Hardly a signing to light up the summer but he's come in, is working hard and is having an impact on the pitch.
Definitely proving a few folk wrong or at least exceeding expectations. On his way to cult hero status if he keeps this up.
