1967Ram reacted to Ambitious in Graeme Shinnie
Wigan fans do like Shinnie, from what I can gather, not sure what has happened there with him. I would like him back, good character, good player and can fill in a number of places. We aren't blessed with the greatest depth so someone like Shinnie would be great.

Was at times covering every blade of grass mate and the only one in the centre of the park snapping into tackles. Common theme on this forum is downgrading of players who have left too. Just my opinion mind.

I personally would much prefer to see Shinnie as an option from the bench than Thompson who for me could do with a loan.
Bird Knight Hourihane Smith & Shinnie is a quality set of CMs at this level. Mixture of experience & youth, energy & ball players...we need to get the balance right in there.

+Disagree with most on here, i'd have him back in a shot - he would certainly
solve that steel situation in midfield.
As for his age - he's 31 so another 3 yrs at least
perhaps not if we are getting Bielik back but .............

He stole nothing - we were just mental to give him the contract we did. Sheer lunacy!

Perhaps there are some outgoings not being considered, which means Shinnie and Nelson may well be replacements not additions

1967Ram reacted to tarranwilson in Mayor of Cheltenham Charity Collection
Good Afternoon Rams,
I hope no one minds me posting in here but I am a Cheltenham Town fan that comes in peace.
I am a member of the Mayor of Cheltenham's charity committee and in our game against the Rams on Saturday 14th January 2023, the Mayor of Cheltenham Charities will be bucket collecting to raise funds for Feed Cheltenham (https://feedcheltenham.weebly.com) and Cheltenham Housing Aid Centre (CHAC) (www.chac.org.uk)
Both of these charities do great work and more information can be found on their websites, links above.
We appreciate during these difficult times, finding extra money to support charity is difficult for all of us, but if all fans donated just 20p the potential is there to raise over £1000 for these incredible charities.
We will be able to take cash and card and look forward to welcoming you all to the Completely Suzuki Stadium on the day.
Thank you for taking the time to read this and good luck for the season.

What a great game today and worth freezing my balls off to watch! (Any chance of turning the heating back on the concourse please David!)
Didzy is in a world of his own out there,a high standard prem player in league 1.
Its hard to believe he actually plays for us sometimes.
The rest of the team were superb and are clearly getting their heads around warnes work ethic and the type of play he wants, high energy and a high press for 90 minutes with maximum enthusiasm throughout.....I like it,it's a pleasure to watch and it's rarely dull.
And I'm turning into a big fan of Warne all round,he is passionate about his team, the club and our future.
Long may it continue..

Pompey fan here.
Safe trip Friday here and home.
If you haven't been, plenty of good places around the stadium. Behind the fratton end (opposite stand to away stand) there is a big tesco directly behind. Also KFC, mcdonalds etc across the road from tesco and subway around the corner. Shops etc close by too.
The away end is currently being redeveloped so there won't be any home fans in that stand. The game has been soldout for about 3 weeks for home fans. Expecting a good following from Derby too. Glad to see you're sorted off the field and look to be playoff candidates this season.
Pompey hit a bad patch of form, we've had some injuries but still fans aren't very happy with lots of draws and it looks like another season of fighting for top 6 when the expectation was top 2.
We haven't lost at home in the league in nearly a year, we are hard to beat at home but do draw quite a lot so I dont expect a loss. I think it'll be a score draw.
Should be a good game.

Pinched from the MK Dons Forum.
but the best card was reserved for Dennis in injury time as he dished out some payback on the Derby keeper as he attempted to run the clock down, let’s be honest he deserved it, he was a total arse.
……….signing of the season, keep up the good work Joe! ??

Probably merits its own thread. Another attempt:
He went to Cardiff,
He took them to the Prem.
He came to Derby,
He'll do the same again.
Tearing up the league
And this is why we sang
His name's Nathaniel
Nathaniel Mendez Laing'

I presume it is a line ending in a word that rhymes with Laing.
I don't know:
'He went to Cardiff,
He took them to the Prem.
He came to Derby,
He'll do the same again.
He's got magic feet
And crosses with a bang.
His name's Nathaniel
Nathaniel Mendez Laing'

We were in control until the sending off that was totally unnecessary. In the end they were good for their replay.
