Kinder got a reaction from LeedsCityRam in Rooney, staff and squad: legends
All I could say to my lad as we walked out of the ground last night was “I bloody love this club”. I’ve never known atmosphere like this season in nearly 40 years, it’s made me so proud and emotional. Everyone associated with the club deserves huge credit, what unbelievable character. And that absolutely includes the fans.
I went to Blues v Cov yesterday afternoon - I lost a close mate a couple of weeks ago and they put a photo and message on the big screen before kick off, so I wanted to go with his Dad to see it. Very emotional, but the contrast between the Blues fans and us lot is chalk and cheese. As soon as Cov scored it was toxic, they were getting at their own players, abusing the Cov fans and each other. I know they’re down near the bottom but their fans really are a bunch of scumbags. Compare that to how we were behind the lads from the first minute. Even after Fulham scored, there was a quiet minute or so and then the noise started again. I bloody love this club.

What a shame, the levels sounded fine at the Birmingham gig. It’s the 4th time I’ve seen them and it was right up there for me. Glad you had a good night out with your lad though. ?

Public Service Announcement
Starting next Thursday, 21 April, Lidl will have the Belgian beer boxes on sale again (Bornem Dubbel, Bornem Tripel, Gulden Draak Classic, Gulden Draak Quad, Piraat and Piraat Tripel Hop) on sale at £11.99. They will also have Cuvee Des Trolls, Bornem Blond and a couple of others. I'm not in the area next week, so you can be sure there will be a few left.
I'm down to my last 6 boxes, so I shall be picking a few up in King's Lynn.

This season has shown that league position isn’t the only reason to be proud of your team. I’ve been around for promotion pushes and play off finals but this team just tops all of that.

We all know we're down. No one is seriously pretending we'll stay up, people tonight were planning trips to away games they'd never of dreamt they'd be playing at, but we will build from a base of loyal fans, and if Chris Kirchner can complete the takeover and keep Rooney then we will face next season in League 1 (Division 3 to us old buggers), with good heart and optimism.
If we can keep most of our kids, use Rooney's contacts to get a couple of loans or decent old lads like Jags in, then all Wayne needs to do is find a Bobby Davison and there's no reason why history can't repeat itself.

Lost me voice tonight. Never sang so loud and so long before. I know its a defiant, us against the world thing but bloody hell the fight and commitment from players and fans is incredible.
This is one of the worst seasons in our history and one of the best.
Unreal. I have no idea how it came over live on Sky but to be there in the middle of the South Stand tonight was something special, the noise was bouncing around the stadium. Looking to my left the West Stand and South West corner were up out of their seats and to the right the East Stand were giving it some all match.
I go back to the 1970's and this is as good as the Popside and Ossie End in their prime.
Proud to be Derby.

We few, we happy few, we band of brothers. What a game, what performances. That was a wonderful game of football. They edged us on the pass and move, I had jangling nerves every time they had a corner .. those quality balls in just forward of the 6 yard box at the right height and willing attackers ready to pounce to well practiced drills. But Cashin and Curtis like Bulwarks, “thou shall not pass” Ebioe running their full back ragged in the first half. Such balance and control. Did you see that arrogant take down in the second half ? What a touch he has. Tommo a micro battering ram with twinkling toes. Byrne running and running and .. marking Mitrovic ?. Mr sweet face Serbian prince turned rapidly in to grumpy, petulant old nanny goat by the mighty Rams. Tom Lawrence bursting with energy and intent. Seeing Plange’s confidence soar as the second half progressed and watching Buchanan get stronger and taller as the minutes passed. Knighty burning nuclear energy on every inch of the pitch. The one who made it for me was Eiran Cashin. Positioning, strength, key headers, blocks, tackles, calm under pressure, never reckless, tidy always. He’s 20 ? And he’s a god of a Centre Back already.
que sera sera but I am so proud of this team as was everyone else. You can feel the bond between fans and players in a way that I have never seen in 50 odd years of watching football.
Get this deal done .. I need to renew my season ticket ????

Kinder reacted to angieram in Who stays?
Ironically, after missing Cash altogether at the hotel in Swansea, I saw him outside Pride Park with his family after the under 23s game today and we all chatted for quite a time.
He talked a little about Festy, and how difficult it is for a player to know when to make the call to take up an offer. Says the players want to stay, but they want a job next season. Have to say, Cashin won't be short of offers! I got the impression he really wants to stay if he can.
Anyway, he's a very modest young man, says it's hard as he's still learning every match. He seemed a bit surprised by how well we think he is doing and shook hands with us all.
Captain material, definitely. I hope we can keep him.
Oh, and his mum's going to her first away match at QPR. We warned her it was a dump! ?

Kinda made this point a week or so ago, but in strict business terms derby has a very loyal fan base and can attract 20,000-30,000 to Pride Park (you’ll see the higher echelon of that with the Rooney factor). Any prospective owner should be looking to get every penny it can do out of that fanbase. Get more fans in early and staying later, family meal deals, better merch, decent local beer, early day ko’s on the screens, post match analysis after games.
The survival of Derby County isn’t about who has the most money, it’s who has the best business strategy to keep the club viable for many years to come. Ofcourse there’s more to it than this but it’s about using what’s available to you.

I went to this on Saturday and it was superb. They’re such a good live band. They played loads of classics and 5 tracks off the new album which were were all excellent, so I can’t wait for the release next month. The encore of Violent Sun / Distant Past / No Reptiles took the roof off!
