Totally agree with you, low budget and sustainable has got to be the way forward for us after everything that’s come. In a way, it’s probably got to shadow the Nigel Clough years. 
Maybe he could be persuaded back in some capacity? Even if it’s just to cause a meltdown on this forum.

There has been 2 weeks between collapse of CK deal and the acceptance of the Clowes deal. I am much more comfortable with the Clowes deal than I ever was with CK. 
So how has the landscape changed? Only in Rooneys head has it changed .. his man turned out to be a dud. Or he has had a nice holiday and decided he doesn’t want to come back. 
Anyway he’s gone and we move on. Huge rebuild now and very little time to do it.

The "wife and kid" thing is the oldest trick in the book. This is the same wife and kids he had when he took this gig. As you say not a good look. It's been a baptism of fire for sure. Even so , saying you need a break after only 18 months in management, well doesn't sound to me like he will be able to handle football management long term.    

With 2 managers with no experience I think that the appointment of Rooney is easily justifiable, a bigger name, bigger playing experience, potentially better connections within the game, some might argue that it was a no brainer.
Just because an organisation like BLM, with a vested interest, point to this as an appoint with racism at its core, doesn't make it so. There is very little basis for their argument other than Roseniors ethnicity, no previous history from Derby County or Mel Morris, no hints from the clubs player recruitment and no suggestions that the fan base hold racist views.
In my opinion this is a pointless non argument, he has his chance to show what he can do, and as Derby fans I'm certain that we all want him to do well, and that has f*** all to do with the colour of his skin.

When Arthur Cox came in 1984 and the situation was very similar to now he had just achieved promotion to the top tier with Newcastle and therfore just acheived the same as what Cooper has done. Having said that I really can't see Cooper doing the same thing.
What Arthur did have was experience of managing in the lower leagues with Chesterfield and as much as I like Rosenior I think we need a manager with lower league experience. Clough would fit the bill.

I will particularly miss the total inevitability of losing every away game in League 1 this season and also the comedy goals conceded by insisting on pratting around with the ball at the back.
