Finch reacted to Stive Pesley in Derby County Administration (with the slight possibility of Liquidation still there)
I guess this was the point of his rats nest of limited companies, Gellaw this that and the other - carefully constructed to protect his personal fortune on the day that it all comes tumbling down
Ultimately, the club has not gone into administration because it has "run out of money", it's gone into administration because MM no longer wants to own it, but is trapped into continuing to own it because he can't find a buyer. And he can't find a buyer because he's got the club into an undesirable state
Administration is the coward's way out, instead of just admitting responsibility and fixing it
The only question to ask yourself is "why would anyone buy the club?"
If there was a way to turn it around from here and make money, then MM would be doing it

Finch reacted to Pearl Ram in Notice to appoint administrators
I don’t know what I’m more cheesed off about this morning between being so wrong about Morris being a good thing for this club or the statement the club put out last night absolving him of any responsibility for where we find ourselves this morning.
Covid, it would seem has had no or very little impact on the other 71 clubs in the Football League yet it’s had devastating consequences for DCFC. Not the bloke calling the shots, nah, it’s all down to Covid. And they expect us to swallow that guff and think aw, poor Mel.
Well, I’m not buying a word of that club statement, I think the club think the fans came down with the last shower and it is insulting.

He turned out to be a far better owner than Mel Morris.

Finch reacted to Bris Vegas in Rate Mels tenure from 1 to 10
They should write a book or make a film about his tenure, it's been that bad.
Considering where we were when Mel came in, our posiiton now after spending some £70 million on players is truly astounding.

he sits as worse than the 3 amigos...that says it all for me..

He’s just become one of the worst owners in league history. He may as well be Karl Oyston, probably worst than Oyston

Finch reacted to atherstoneram in Mel Morris
More like that MM wanted rid because he was no longer of any value to the club so he decided to use gross misconduct as an excuse but then "advised" by his lawyers that wouldn't be successful. He then tried to reduce Keogh's terms to save money and Keogh's representatives told him not to accept. MM was then in no mans land as gross misconduct would not be proved as the club offered to keep him on albeit on a reduced contract.

I was astounded Keogh won that tribunal, unless it was won on a technicality because we didn't follow a process.

Rams 1 Baggies 0 FRGS Stretton
Call me Ismael if you will, but long-throws mean nothing to us now. This is this season's Norwich.

This is a mismatch in as much as financial fair play does not apply to relegate clubs from the Premier League. Parachute payments make a mockery of any fair play. West Brom were able to retain their Premier League squad. They raked in a further £17m for selling just 3 players two of them squad players, if that. They did not pay any transfer fees but were able to recruit two free transfers Alex Mowatt from Barnsley, the Barnsley player of the season last year and Adam Reach from Sheffield Wednesday plus a couple of loanees from Brighton. They had an average age of 25. Derby trading in the transfer market with their legs and arms tied together got 4 players on frees with an average age of over 33.
However this is the year of the underdog, the year when a tennis player representing GB makes it through qualifiers to get to the Us Women’s open final, so I go for WBA 1 Derby 2

Weren't Charlton relegated under Bowyer?
Can't deny he's doing a good job at Birmingham so far, but I wouldn't want him anywhere near our club.

You might want to start tempering those expectations there my friend. You'll only be let down.

Inevitable. Take the points, L1 and try to stay there. ThanksMel.

I agree the constant putting ourselves under pressure by playing backwards when the opposition know we're going to play it backwards is simply idiotic.
I disagree that Roos can't kick. He's amazingly talented with his feet for a goalkeeper. But it's bound to go wrong sometimes and we keep doing stupid things and not learning.

There must be stats somewhere about teams that concede goals immediately following a defensive error. I'd imagine we are one of the worst offenders for it in the entire football league.
The regularity with which we rooster things up and concede a goal is frankly mental. It's been the same under multiple managers with multiple sets of players.

Too much silliness playing around at the back, it’s going to cost you in the end and it did.

Finch reacted to oldtimeram in Have some supporters lost interest?
I've got to admit, I've lost interest and I've been watching the Rams since the early 1960s.
Morris' antics have destroyed the club I loved

If we win this game with a positive goal difference of 5, and some other teams lose, it is possible we could be in the top 6 this time tomorrow!

Better than what we have currently got no doubt ?

Finch reacted to GenBr in What would McClaren do with this team?
I'd be more worried if he went on national media and began slating his colleagues and the club that currently employs him. Just because he said something on the radio doesn't mean its what he actually thinks.
-
Finch reacted to DCFC Kicks in What would McClaren do with this team?
Well he's hardly going to go on there and berate him while he's still employed by the club is he??
I'd like to know what he really thinks deep down though.

Finch reacted to Bris Vegas in Jozwiak
You’ve got to feel sorry for Joz.
He came here to progress his career but it has been an absolute nightmare from the start.
He was probably sold on Phillip Cocu’s ability to develop youngsters (something proven) and the idea of playing alongside an influential Wayne Rooney.
What he soon found out was our former manager was severely undermined and restricted, later being dismissed while Rooney the player post lockdown was clearly unfit for Championship standard. He was dreadful.
Throw in the absolute turmoil off the field, his close friend Bielik picking up a lengthy injury, Wayne Rooney’s questionable tactics and an inexperienced coaching staff and it couldn’t have gone much worse for the guy.
Who would blame him if he wanted out? I’m sure he is professional and will try his best but deep down he is probably wishing he never came here.
