So on google translate it says EFL want to apply points deduction and Derby county say what we did was legal and fair and we will take you to a legal route if you do that - EFL says we can’t win in a legal route so we will keep you in limbo.

You’re not being stubborn. It’s perfectly correct that anyone should take any punishment due, but only if rules are seen to have been applied equally amongst all participants. If that isn’t the case then standing up for yourself is the only course of action. 

I understand that Gaspode, but this smacks of closing the gate before the horse is even in the field. The EFL are demanding that Mel shows proof of funding. Fair enough I suppose, but if he does so, the HMRC situation becomes utterly moot.
I'm afraid they are simply tying the club in knots for reasons I've already outlined too many times to warrant doing so again. I can accept the charges levied if we are given a fair crack at addressing them. What sticks in my craw is the total lack of consistency either in terms of the current situation, or historically. Again, the obvious historical examples have been cited ad nauseum.
I'd resist any EFL sanctions on that very basis, though I appreciate that stance leaves me in a diminishing minority. When I read posts saying 'let's just take the 9 point hit and move on', I can't help but ask on what basis, but then perhaps I'm just being stubborn ?‍♂️

the EFL apparently agreed that they were aware of Derby change in amortisation policy and agreed to it happening and allowed it to happen for three years - most of that may well have been Shaun Harvey who has left but he was the EFL at that time.
It would be interesting to see if the EFL could defend itself in a legal setting.

Other clubs should rightly be complaining to the EFL - they should be insisting that we are allowed to sign players because we have wasted far too much money buying their average no sell on value players for far to much and we have reduced the amount of their income. 

I think Derby can win come on be postive stop being negative.

Especially for EFL clubs thanks premiership Arsenal ( probably) about time you got relegated!

Is it really any bodies fault? I thought paying in instalments was quite common and no one could have foreseen the pandemic and resultant impact on revenue.

Firstly they stop Marriott having his contract extended and in doing so give him a pay reduction great from the EFL 
secondly a young lad is stopped from playing in a lower league because we can’t take the risk of losing a more established player in January 
 

I was near by when it occurred and it didn’t at all look like there was any intent at all if he even trod on him, besides why was the guy actually lying down on the floor ?

I know a lot of people are hacked of at the moment with efl and mel but the lads need our support and so does Derby county they want us turn our backs on the club and that is what gibson wants and so does the efl. Look we are stronger togather than we are divided so we must stand togather like are lads are fight against racism. I know some fans are saying not spending another penny until mel is gone but the club needs every single penny it  can get.
I for one I am angry at efl and that gibson for what he has done and trouble he has caused to us and rest of the league why cant people see he is the one should be in trouble by efl with his actions against our club I want to know what he is hiding.

I was going to suggest the very same thing, but had no evidence. This isn't a surprise. I would also not be surprised to learn that other clubs have paid players late, owe HMRC money or have been late in meeting their payment plans.
The only thing that isn't surprising is that these other clubs aren't being dragged through the mud.

Well it made no sense to be asking us to resubmit legal accounts which have been accepted by the crown. - Farce 
EFL should say that no progress can be made from now on - it’s no wonder they are asking us to accept a points deduction because they can’t legally give us one!
