Sadly is probably time to take some money for him. Sibley seems to go slightly backwards each season. Is obviously talented but just doesn’t seem to be able to find a position in our team. Under several managers now.

Still think best spell he’s had for us has been at left back. Thought he struggled there today though, defensively was awful

Our central midfielders don’t look good because they are outnumbered and not allowed to do anything other than get it wide early

Warne simply has to address the midfield. It's a glaring issue that until late in the game today he has simply refused to address

That’s the big problem for him though isn’t it - if we put three in there which is needed in this league (most leagues) then you can’t have all these wide players and false wing backs we have collected

When we lost to Stevenage it felt as if everything had come to a head and many (including me) were calling for Warne to go. The next game at home to Northampton felt pivotal and we rushed into a three goal lead, four just after half-time, and the manager was secure.

We went on a great run and got to 3rd in the league, looking as if we might sweep all before us. Yet, the Derby "nose-bleed" system cut in and we're now down to 5th (on ppg) and falling. With only 18 games to go, if we're genuinely going to challenge for automatic promotion we need another run similar to the one we just had, and pronto. Last year's failure on the back of a 17 game unbeaten run does loom heavily over us. Draw or lose and we're likely really in trouble. I'm hoping it's a convincing win and the start of something again, as we try to haul ourselves back into contention. I'll take any win.

I feel this game is again that big test of mentality we came through against Northampton with flying colours. Do we need a sports psychologist? Do we have one? Or is that Warne's job at this level?

Unfortunately that day Northampton decided not to try to mark any of our players particularly Washington which made it a lot easier.

    Not so strange

Morris might have said: I own the stadium (worth £81m) and I’ll sell it to the purchaser of the club for £40m. Instead, he sold it to DC for £23m.

Maguire is making the point that Morris lost a large part of his fortune and - at the end of the day - facilitated the deal with DC. A point that’s lost on most fans

Absolutely correct - he caused the problems but could have made them a lot worse if he wanted to, horrible times in so many ways

It begs the question, knowing Warne's admiration of Ladapo, who surely would have been the first choice loan incoming of our management, how come Charlton got him, considering he was a second thought after Clarke-Harris had turned them down? Something does not add up with this recruiting team of ours.

Maybe Ladapo knew the type of football Warne likes to play and maybe he didn’t want to be exposed to that again - who knows

This is the kind of entitlement that needs to be extinguished. We're still rebuilding a squad that was decimated by administration, where's this expectation coming from, and isn't it just setting you up for disappointment?

The entitlement comes from being Derby County with probably the biggest playing budget in the league but all that said to be trying to play a entertaining brand of football is a preference of mine personally- clearly the manager wasn’t to interested in the three cups we went out of so weakly at home in front of hardly anyone wanting to watch what was served up because they knew the opponents would be trying harder?

It was blowing a hooley- not the night for playing those sort of balls. We were all screaming for the guys to keep it on the deck!

They do panic a bit at times.

That’s the problem though as they are all very experienced players and they still aren’t gods enough to play football or they are not allowed too

Most probably one of the ones Warne alluded to when he said that players who don't want to be here can move on.

Maybe a bit discontent amongst the troops.

    When was that comment mentioned?

I think even Phill Brown would struggle to not finish top 2 with this squad. Someone like Warnock would jump at the chance of managing us thhrough to the end of the season, and it's easy to see him gettting a lot more out of us than we've seen

I said very early in this season that the league quality is so poor this season that most supporters could genuinely have us in the top 6 based on the players we have available- it’s the tactics or complete view off playing in such a poor grade of football - I would be a lot happier if we lost games playing like Peterborough try to play than the garbage we regularly serve up - we have had some good results but hardly any good performances and it gets worrying when management starts to say we played well or decent enough.

For me I would have been very wary of funding such a brand of football as people lose heart (players and fans) and it’s simply not looking into the following season with a view of being good enough because we would be as bad as Sheffield Wednesday have been this season and not an Ipswich

we have also been fairly dreadful on entertainment this season at home which will affect support

Yes but will Wilson get a game on the wing as first choice now we have signed CBT?

It seems like he won’t as we have more wide players who have been employed to cross the ball to the opposition centre half’s

Any two from NML CBT Barkhauzen Ward Wilson - where the likes of JJ Waghorn Washington were/ are supposed to fit in I don’t know whilst Collins has the one place left over and what a glut we would have if Smith was signed.

  11. No great surprise at the result tonight

we play a one dimensional type of football and when we can’t break through that’s us done for

the basic tactic of get it wide quickly cross it and hope someone is there to maybe score is fine and when we do it’s get the extra centre half on and hope to keep the lead and maybe break away and get another goal - the limitations are there to see. Yes we are missing our best left and right back and a Waghorn type who can actually play a bit of football. Folks moan about our two in midfield but on their own they are overwhelmed defensively so trying to be creative is really a non starter but our game plan doesn’t involve us having a creative midfield

  12. Would easily have helped us probably get promoted last season on a short term loan

clearly finding third division defenders out this season and as a bonus he can do everything apart from run around a lot in the wrong places
