Depends if that's the loan fee or wage contribution (or both) - it's the equivalent to just under £12k per week
He was on £12,000 a week at Stoke when we took him on loan previously - no idea what he cost us apart from maybe a Whittaker

Nelson is our player of the season so far.
A decent championship defender playing in the third division makes him very decent just like Forsyth

Well a win in London is a good win
A good debut for Adams with some much needed strength in midfield - without NML we carry little threat so I really hope he heals very quickly
We are looking more and more like a Billy Davies side and by that it’s a How the Hell did we win that one?
-
CBT could play whilst on loan if the paperwork was completed correctly with permission from both clubs - let’s hope it was but he’s not involved today for whatever real reason

Is that Portsmouth and Bolton have done this year? Impressive if they have with the signings they've made.
What are their losses ? It makes a big difference

Well Chris Martin has found it easy enough in league one and he can’t run around
this would be another gamble on a very injury prone player but if his contract was terminated by mutual consent he wants to play somewhere
-
I am sure I heard a while ago that he had signed an extension - anyway obviously the club want to put some kind of a positive spin out into the public domain today

Ok window closed and we are where we are , time to move on,
we are ok if Collins stays fit ,
question is how do we change it up if Collins gets injured or suspended?
I reckon we have to change the current way we play if the worst happens, with the squad we have how do we play and who plays where , there are some goals in our forwards and hourihane so if needs must what do people see as the best way to keep getting wins?
We could and will go to five at the back and sometimes we will start with five at the back whilst we continue to cross the ball to Ian ormandroyd and Kevin Francis

All clubs lose money, good luck running a club that’s self sufficient.
They tend to, so why would an owner put any incoming money in a pot to spend rather than reducing the losses he is funding?

Isn't TJJ on loan from Arsenal?
On paper but long history of being unable to put any football boots on

One thing for sure is that there is going to need to be a massive rebuild for next season whatever league we are in based on the contracts expiring and the complete flops we have signed this season.
The main thing for me is why on earth did we keep picking the likes of Collins and NML for games in the the rubbish pizza cup when we could have given real game time to Brown Weston etc to see how they did which could have saved some serious money in the future.
If we weren’t forced to play the likes of all the kids we wouldn’t have survived as a club and start to look at what they are being transferred for Whittaker nearly went to Lazio for £12 million A Brown went for £3.5 million knight for £2 million Bird for £? Ebosele £500,000 Plange £1 million to mention a few of them - Warne won’t play them whilst Rooney had to and wanted to play them

To play devil's advocate here - it's harder for Rotherham to hold out for the bigger offers. Would it be beyond the realms of possibilty that if they were Derby players (in those seasons) you could have seen them go for 0.5m-1m more?
Then again, our track record hasn't been fantastic in getting the best value for players...
Those players also only went to clubs who also played in a dinosaur football way under managers similar to Warne

Wow that’s eye opening that is, why would a young kid want to come here
Why do you think no premiership clubs are looking to send youngsters to us either

Okay the Bird money going in to the summer pot. But the league next season will be stronger.
All 3 relegated teams will be up there, 5 of the current top 8 will be up there, Wrexham with their wonga and then the likes of Wigan and Reading if they get their acts together. IMO any funds would've been better spent yesterday at least partly to see if we can go up and avoid the royal rumble of next season.
If we are losing money every week then why do you think any money received will be going on more spending rather than reducing the losses ?

I doubt he will be sacked. DC gave him a contract and will be reluctant to pay the compo to him and his team. That money will not be in the budget.
Having 5,000 less season tickets sold won’t be in the budget either and I bet there will be that many questioning a purchase based on the absolute rubbish served up at home this season
-
Not particularly surprising January - Warne seems to focus on over 30 s forwards based in Sheffield or anyone else with a lengthy fitness issue
More bothered that Bird wanted to sign now to not be here in the summer because he doesn’t believe in Warne or the way he plays his football and maybe that’s the problem as lots of other third division managers all frequently say they know what a Warne team plays like and whilst we have little money to spend we are unable to consider getting a decent loan from a premiership club and I personally believe that’s down to how we approach the football served up by our current manager.
we can absolutely be promoted but it’s going to be a hard watch.

He looks like a technically decent player and he's mobile and stuff, but he just seems to have no awareness of what's going on around him. He gets caught in possession a lot when we have the ball, and he lets players run off him when we don't have it. And both of those things are absolutely suicidal given the way we play.
About sums up why you don’t get selected

Not surprised he has been sold but also disappointed that he wanted to be sold - fully expect him to continue to try for us and he has stuck by with us through all we have been through. Surprised he didn’t wait to see who wanted him in the summer but he clearly doesn’t want to wait around and play for Warne any longer than this season and I don’t blame him. No offence to Bristol city but it’s always disappointing to lose a player but we lose money every week whilst Bristol lose £500,000 a month

I am not a fan of Warne’s brand of football to state the obvious. What was that at home in the first half ! 3 centre half’s vs no forward and if not for NML we wouldn’t have had a shot on goal - Bradley in the middle with a very dodgy first 20 minutes and poor old Nelson pushed wide left centre half - did we even practice that mess ?
Anyway second half looked better in terms of trying with Bird nicking a goal from a bouncing set piece and Hourahan having a decent free kick saved, we don’t threaten it seems from open play unless NML actually gets the ball.
Adams looks decent which says a massive amount about the Fornah signing
Did we deserve the 3 points, not really because we did hardly anything whilst Shrewsbury weren’t bothered about entertainment or anything like that
I Hope we can get automatic promotion and let Warne stay in the third division back at his Rotherham
