Taribo reacted to alram in Ebou Adams - Joined on loan until end of the season
i wouldnt be paying a fee for anybody over 25. He did very well for us but i dont think hes experienced enough at the championship level to justify paying a fee. Another loan then i would snatch your hand off.

A midfield 3 of Carsley,Powell and Van Der Laan could play but was also brutal. Saw an interview with Powell and Carsley in Four Four Two in about 97 where their pre game ritual was to watch Scarface together. Amused me enough to remember it.

If you'd been married you'd know that you wouldn't be the one doing the cutting.

Taribo reacted to Bob The Badger in Ebou Adams - Joined on loan until end of the season
Frank did an incredible job with those three.
There aren't many managers who could have failed to get promoted with them in his squad.

In terms of impactful signings, Ebou has etched his name into Rams folklore because without him I don’t doubt for a single minute that we wouldn’t have been promoted automatically. He’s been absolutely phenomenal for us.
At first there was Osman, then there was Thorne, followed by the trio of Mount, Wilson and Tomori.. now there is Ebou Adams.

Taribo reacted to Chopper in Krystian Bielik
He does have quality, like a finely tuned Alfa-Romeo. He also is as reliable as a finely tuned Alfa-Romeo.
I liked him, I really wanted him in our team. But, we've spent quite enough money on Krystian Beilik for one lifetime.

Taribo reacted to Loftyhites in How is that offside?
I really hope that we get promoted on Saturday but I’m not sure that I want to ever go back to the premier league. Never being able to properly celebrate a goal until all checks are complete is not what football is about (for me, anyway).

Taribo reacted to Kernow in Gary Rowett
At least Birmingham fans will have something positive to look back on when they go down.

Oh I don’t know about that. I reckon I’d have a good shout at keeping Mikel Beck in my pocket. And I was never a centre back 😂

Taribo reacted to Alty_Ram in Ebou Adams.
Regardless of which division we're in, if we have a situation where Adams was our least accomplished pure footballing midfielder then it's not looking too shabby is it ? We've been crying out for some bite and physicality for years now and now some folks are worried that our defensive midfield specialist isn't also some creative genius too? It's all about a blend surely. The creative players can only flourish if we have a foothold in the game and are winning a decent proportion of midfield duels. Warne might not exactly be an advocate of total passing football but he knows that crosses don't get crossed and through balls don't get threaded through if you can't get the ball.

Darryl bless him. I still remember him marking Ortega in the World Cup. A thing of beauty and horrific in equal measure. Full on engine but exactly what I mean about needing technical players around him to make his skillset useful at a higher level.

I think Ebou could be our modern day Darryl Powell. He played more than 200 games for the club, many in the Premier League and in a World Cup finals yet had no more technical ability than Adams possesses.

This post should be deleted until full time tonight. It has a whiff of the gypsy curse around it.😁

Just for one night can we ditch Paul warnes barmy army that only half of us sing anyway and replace it with B4s barmy army who predicted this even when the wrist slashers were out in full force. It would be great for his family to hear, either his dad who will be there or his sister on the telly

Getting back on thread, can someone with a more retentive brain than me do one of those nice concise lists of who's out, till when?

Taribo reacted to Kernow in Injurys/absences
Have we now got to the stage where we’re worried about potential, hypothetical suspensions for the accumulation of yellow cards next season, which may coincide with important fixtures against unknown teams in a division we may not even be in?

Taribo reacted to Caerphilly Ram in Injurys/absences
Here we go;
Max Bird - Calf injury, out for another week, may be involved at Portsmouth
Dwight Gayle - Hamstring injury, out for 3 weeks
Craig Forsyth - Calf injury, season possibly over
Tom Barkhuizen - Calf injury, out for 3 weeks
Nathaniel Mendez-Laing - Hamstring injury, no timeframe yet would guess we’ll hear more in the pre match for Blackpool
Tyrese Fornah - Back injury, was apparently part of the warm down at Northampton so maybe close to a return
James Collins - Knee injury, was warming up on the pitch pre match at Northampton so a return this week is on the cards
Ryan Nyambe - Quad injury, had surgery and out for the season
Tyreece John-Jules - Hamstring injury, is allegedly back in light training so could play a part before the season ends
Jake Rooney - Knee injury, ACL so thought his season was over but is in light training so could play a part before the season ends
Josh Vickers - thigh injury, close to a return but not ready yet, Warne apparently said they could strap his thigh up but not worth a risk.
