GenBr reacted to Carnero in The concept of a fan owned club
It wouldn't take £30m a year to run a sensible mid-level championship club, under GSE's final years the net shortfall was around £8m/year which I would require funding. Sensible wage control is the answer to football's financial problems, but just never happens.

The only way it could happen is if we had to start again from nothing.

Made a lot of money for breast cancer charity mate. That’s a good thing.

Tbf the one for the season before last was jazzy with the zebra arms, I liked that and do like it when there's a bit more black on the arms.... I'd love to see them bring back the gold piping etc or even the blue piping we had in the auto windscreens days

At the very list i think we should have some gold/yellow highlights. We've got a gold strip of seats at the top of the stadium and we should be using what we can to make the kits a bit more interesting than just black and white.
Can't find the video anymore, but didnt the club say at one point that we'd have another kit with a charity link this year after the success of the pink?

And paying to relay the pitch. You'd think we'd be cutting costs everywhere we can rather than spending money on things we don't actually need to do.

So it’s not all bad news then.

Some of the puma kits in the mid 90s had gold piping on and they were some of my favourite kits. Most of the stuff we have now is so boring - just feels like I could get a plain white shirt and draw a ram on it and it would be virtually the same as the home shirt - there is no creativity in any of them recently

We seem to go wild with the away and third kits each season but the home kit is always the same. I agree, I hope the add some gold highlights to the home kit. I can't remember the last time the home kit was anything other than black and white, I think they had some gold on one in the mid nineties but I'm not sure.

GenBr reacted to Dean (hick) Saunders in Yankee Doodle Derby
Boris Johnson texted me last night saying hubba hubba big girl.
Dont know if this is code for “I have loads of cash to buy Derby, but can you lend me £58 for a chair from home bargains”

When are the club going to start selling season tickets? I need to get mine renewed before the glory hunters turn up.

For fans to express their views and have a debate with other members.....I never thought the idea was to influence the club and their decision-making. I think that would be more the case when fans attend the ground on match days, can influence things then. In some ways I would think Mel and Wazza are thankful grounds have been shut over the last few months....

He's no longer associated with the club, so I guess I'll finally be allowed to say the following:
It's fantastic news that this liar, this charlatan, this tool, won't be getting his hands on Derby County Football Club.

Melinda Gates "You want to spend how much you geeky nerd, on a provincial non achieving soccerball club. I know we said we'd help the poor and dispossessed through our foundation, but some causes are beyond help, spare mansion for you tonight, you'll be hearing from my lawyer's".

Villa are one that annoy me. They had to sell their stadium to remain compliant (as we did), but they've had to do that even with parachute payments. The villa fans i worked with at the time really wouldnt shut up about them battering us multiple times, but it would have been embarrasing if we'd been able to compete with them after the money they spent.
