This system is crushingly bad. I understand the idea behind pulling a CM into the left back spot to allow the left side forward to come inside and Forsyth/Buchanan to provide an outlet out wide but I just don’t understand doing it both sides. It creates congestion on the sides and loads of space in the middle that we have no one in. 
 
That’s the reason the ball is doing the old horse shoe around the back of our team today because there’s nothing in the middle. 

This pushing Forsyth forward at every opportunity and dropping Shinne in to play behind him is an interesting tactic.

Morrison and Lawrence keep coming deep because Bird and Shinnie can’t do any playmaking. Then they look forward and there’s no one there. No support anywhere near Colin. Forsyth stood in the left wing for no reason because we haven’t dared pass to him. Byrne’s best attribute is bombing on and Ebosele on the same side is stifling that. Rooneyball is aids. Problems at the club or not, this side should be more coherent than this.

Other than Ebosele we look toothless now. Players dropping deep for the ball meaning we have 4 deep midfielders at times and 2 centre backs not willing to carry the ball. Game gone to sleep.
