What are you talking about? my first season as a full blown supporter we finished second to Grimsby, It was for a 13 year old a great season followed by an even better one in 57. In the sixty odd years since I think I have seen more poor sides than good ones. We must have had 40 different managers in that time most have left because they were rubbish.

We did indeed finish second to the mighty Grimsby and don`t forget that only the league winners were promoted from the 3rd Division (North) together with the winners of the 3rd Division (South). No play-offs in the 50`s. Promoted as Champions the following season and the game I recall was the 7-1 demolition of Chesterfield.

    Boyer left in 1968.

.........and all those in the photo were at Derby in 1968.  Boyer left in July `68.  However, if I remember correctly, Willie Carlin joined after a handful of games in the 68/69 season by which time Boyer would have been at York.

Re: Roberts - Depends how charitable Brighton want to be and if the player would rather sign for us than maybe a bottom 6 championship side?

Would love someone to ask the question at the next fans charter event re transfers. Are there strict guidelines in place? Or is there scope for creativity?

My best example of this question is could we sign a player for £1m but the fee be paid in the summer of 2024? Or as we’ve signed the player still in restrictions would that count as a breach? I’m not expecting DC to roll out a war chest but if we can be a bit cheeky and work round a few of loopholes for a couple of class players then I can’t see why not.

"Scope for creativity".  "A bit cheeky".   "Loopholes".     Didn`t go too well last time.

Cloughie signing. Scored on his debut v Huddersfield, Gordon Hughes outside right, Alan Hinton outside left, Kevin Hector inside right, John O’Hare inside left, Barker centre forward.

All out attack……….jumpers for goal posts, happy days!

    Sorry....wrong Richie Barker.

CK did state, as PB, he would find the club from May.

Q accepted the wage payment on behalf of the Club

Why would the club be docked three points, the wages were paid!

Which club was CK looking for? No doubt he had a 5-Iron but a-n-other supplied the wedge.

According to some media sources our debt or money owed is £53.5m. £30 of that owed to MSD Holdings, the other £23.5m is HMRC, Phillip Cocu and his coaches pay off and some of the transfer fee for Kristian Bielik we need to pay Arsenal. MSD Holdings are also very keen in getting involved with loaning more money to Derby (through the prospective new owners) to protect their credit.

Garry Cook is just the middle man who is the British connection for the US prospective buyers, but I suspect he would be made CEO of the club and get a big salary.

I`m not a rich man but I`m prepared to pay the £30 to MSD Holdings if it helps.

The EFL is deeply disappointed at how this has ended.

The feeling is the written reasons left them no realistic prospect of success with any appeal and therefore to proceed would have been counter-productive.

They do feel they have won an argument over the amortisation of players and will now press for a rule change to prevent any other club following the path Derby created.

As per the previous judgement, Derby now have to resubmit accounts by 18 August. The EFL will then assess them to see whether they meet their profit and sustainability rules.

However, any decision on that and subsequent case will have no effect on the start of the 2021-22 season. Derby will play in the Championship and Wycombe in League One.

............"and will now press for a rule change".

Doesn`t that statement, an admission of their oversight and incompetence  tell you all you need to know?

    Derby missed the boat.

MK Dons have confirmed the signing of Scott Twine, an attacking midfielder who scored 13 goals last season. The attacking midfielder joined mk dons on a ‘long-term’ contract from Swindon Town.

Scott Twine!    An opportunity missed....an opportunity to hear Alvin Cash and the Crawlers greatest hit. Perhaps RoyMac5 can oblige as I`m technologically impotent.
