BucksRam reacted to ariotofmyown in Mark Thomas
Since the time since Mel took over, you could probably argue that our 5-10 most succesful signings have been during the summer after relegation or the one before when about to go into admin.
Wildsmith, Houraine, NML and McGoldrick for starters.

BucksRam reacted to BramcoteRam84 in Serial Whingers Notts Forest playtime, which we simply cannot accept.
Bloke who lives round the corner wearing his new Forest shirt stopped his run to talk to me yesterday, saying “I thought of you the other day, this shirt cost me £60, absolute rip off, atrocious but it’s worth every penny just for that (points to the premier league badge on the sleeve), it’s the place to be just hope we stay there!” Today he walks past saying “ I shouldn’t have got so excited yesterday!!” ?, i told him we don’t mind league 1 “we hated it we were down there for 3 years” to which I responded well we won’t be down there that long.
For armchair fans (which makes up majority of red dogs), premier league is the place to be. It’s all about show and making banners to symbolise what amazing fans you are but as soon as it goes to s*** you don’t see them for miles or hear from them for days and weeks.
Of course I want Derby to be in the premier league but only because it’s the highest league we could be in and it will be one hell of a journey to get there, but it’s more important to me to feel a bond with my club and to the players. We don’t need the prem for atmosphere or a banner stating false platitudes, we get 27000 every week. I don’t think the fans players management and ownership have ever been this close in my lifetime and it feels special like something really positive is building. Last time I truly felt like that was 94/95 season just before bald Eagle came in, we missed out on playoffs but the new ground was announced along with our puma sponsorship and it just felt like things were being put in place.
Forest fans at work were genuinely thinking they could beat Fulham and look at mid table. They’re not good enough. They’re in a false position, they’ve done well to win home games against their relegation rivals but apart from Everton they’re all gone now, they have a lot of difficult fixtures coming up and the table will then adjust to reflect their real position. They will be in a scrap with Everton and Leeds for the last relegation spot. Dyche will sort out Everton which means it will be Forest or Leeds.

BucksRam got a reaction from Donnyram in The FBI have got the Kirch!
I'm 54 and was referred to as a youngster the other day by an 85 yo old lady for whom I was getting some antibiotics. Guess it's all relative. I'm young at heart, but there are times I def don't feel like a youngster.

BucksRam reacted to Comrade 86 in The 6 Nations & RWC 2023 Thread
So here's the England training squad to face Wales. Still no sign of Lawes or Tom Curry and WIll Stuart comes in for Sinckler who got his face unintentionally caved in by Genge. Leaves me wondering what Val Rapava-Ruskin has to do to get a chance. Best scrummager in the country right now but seemingly not favoured. Marchant back in the squad ahead of Manu being the other notable change.
Forwards: Ollie Chessum, Dan Cole, Ben Curry, Alex Dombrandt, Ben Earl, Ellis Genge, Jamie George, Nick Isiekwe, Maro Itoje, Lewis Ludlam, Will Stuart, Mako Vunipola, Jack Walker, Jack Willis.
Backs: Henry Arundell, Owen Farrell, Ollie Hassell-Collins, Ollie Lawrence, Max Malins, Joe Marchant, Alex Mitchell, Henry Slade, Marcus Smith, Freddie Steward, Jack van Poortvliet, Anthony Watson.

Agree with this, Willis and Chessum stand outs. Ludlum too for me. The high ball was much, much better, enabling us to at least challenge for it, unlike last time out where every high kick went unchallenged. Farrell was dogged in defence but I, and many around me were frustrated at his propensity to try the grubber kick. Pretty sure if Smith had been in that position, he'd have run more often than not. There's always a place for those kicks, but Farrell seemed to try it every time and I don't recall one of them coming off. All in all, a much improved performance, but nowhere near the levels being shown by Scotland, France or Ireland. We ought to avoid the wooden spoon....just.
PS: I waved.

Happy he’s scored. But to be fair he was the mostly likely candidate to be subbed

BucksRam reacted to Scott129 in Watchable telly
Just finished Season 2 of Alice in Borderland. Good fun, if a little silly, and the twist at the end was pretty underwhelming.
I preferred it to Squid Game though.

There's some lovely places around Wycombe, but they're not Wycombe which is pretty skanky IMO.
