Let's wait and see. He's done a multi-year deal with the Dallas Stars. He's just done a 5 year $multi-million deal for the Dubai Desert Classic.  One of his company values is demonstrating "Grit and persistence" where "solving tough problems requires a lot of hard work. We aren’t afraid of difficult problems and we won’t stop until they are solved".  I'm pretty sure he knows what he's getting into here and will need all of that over the next month or two.

Liking the concepts a lot although I'd probably bin off the red on the yellow one.  Doesn't feel right having red on our kit.

Agree 100% with this.  Despite what you may think from his Tweets, he seems to be a pretty private person.  Trying to find out about his wealth, personal life etc is a bit of a challenge.  On paper he doesn't look to be the billionaire that Ashley is, with a purported personal wealth of only a few million.  Someone with a personal wealth of only £5-6 million could make many wonder why he was even being considered.
He must have financial backing, significant at that to even be considered.  I'm convinced there's more to this guy's bid than we know.  I recall Simon Jordan, whose words, for the record, I take with a pinch of salt, saying “The guy has got serious money.".   Let's hope Percy is right.

Time to change the lyrics, and make it more topical and relevant to our situation.
I won't try and circumvent the swear filter, but I'm sure you'll get the drift if you see this topic before it disappears!

    Mel Morris is a banker,
    He wears a bankers hat,
He said he loved our Derby,
    But he's a ducking twit.

He said that he would sell us,
    And wanted just a pound,
But he's a lying bar steward,
    And took away our ground.

For a black and white film, it's single use of colour is one of the greatest bits of cinematography I can remember.

Spoke really well but this was the key takeaway for me.  He wants the opportunity to build his own squad and bring success to this club over the next 2-3 years.  Him and CK seemed to get on and importantly, share the same vision, so if it really is CK, maybe this could be just what we need.

Whilst I get why you've posted this @RYRAMlet's park this one for a bit. We're not down yet.  Hang in there until it's mathematically impossible, then you can post it.  I agree there's all sorts of big boned ladies warming their tonsils, but they're banned from any form of singing at the moment.
May be worth separating out the "and we have a club" bit too.  We're all excited to have finally named a PB but this doesn't mean it's sorted.  Sorry if that wees on anyone's firework but there's still a huge amount to finalise and resolve, not least our lovely friends at the EFL. As happy as I am to finally get some good news, my feet remain firmly on the ground until this is all rubber stamped. The reality is it could still all go horribly wrong.  Not being pessimistic, just a realist.
For now, keep the faith ?

Great news we finally get a PB.  But why is it I still get wound up by the pathetic comms from the EFL.....
"...the EFL has been focused on ensuring that there is a long-term future for the Club."   Really? Love to see how.
"Now that the League has been advised of the preferred bidder status by the Administrators, we await details of the formal proposals and once in receipt, these will be reviewed in line with EFL requirements..."  Why do you have to say "now"? You're like a spoilt child.  Keep it factual.  "Following notification by the admins of the PB.....".  And how long will your review take?  Long enough to see us down with further points deductions and player losses?
"This process will allow us to understand what hurdles may still need to be overcome before matters can move forward......" Sorry?  After nearly 2 years you still don't understand the hurdles? Maybe read this thread - you'll possibly learn a thing or two.
