Excellent ball by Barks. To put that in first time like that, quality. He’s really stepped it up recently, very important player for us.

I think from what we learned of MM's ways, if SP had stood up to him, or overly challenged him, he'd have been sacked.  It may well be that SP came up with the idea of changing our accountancy policy - it was, after all, legal, but just didn't fit with the EFL's view of things, and all other clubs to be fair.  We may well never know.  Q certainly rated him and publicly defended him.  If he was that bad, and they were cutting costs left right and centre, he'd have been gone surely? David Clowes is nobody's fool.  If there were any doubts he would have asked SP to leave I'm sure.  The fact he remains says to me he must be valued and has a place/say in the running of the club.

Yeah I know, and I'm sure he did where necessary.  The fact he is a professional accountant is why I was alluding to the fact it may even have been his idea.  But with everything else that went on, with MM being the apparent dictator he seemed, then I suspect it was like hitting a brick wall.  He may have been complicit to a degree, (we'll likely never know unless he writes his memoirs) but the fact Q valued him, and more importantly DC now seems to trust him says a lot.  Anyway, it's kinda old ground now and I'm doing my best to move on and focus on our amazing resurgence.

Then there's a few weeks to get match sharp and fit again, by then it's into April with a few games left of the season. Time to cut our losses. I'm sure we can offer him physio and a place to recover from his injury but be off the books. This allows a fully fit Flint to come in to play.

that's the thing isn't it.  You have PL teams, even the "average" ones, spending 10's of millions on a similarly average player, a %age of which could save a club. Isn't Scunny going for something like £3-4million? Admit I know little of their issues, which won't be unique by a long shot, but again, it highlights that there remains a massive issue with Football, and whilst the PL continues as it is (and of course the big leagues abroad) buying players for £100 million, and paying exorbitant wages, nothing will change.

Yeah, that's not to say we should be salty about anything they come out with now. Just have to make the most of the scraps to get our laughs right now.
Roles reversed, we would be giving them some right pelters.
We've had our days being on top, now it's their turn, we'll be back though and have our day again.

Agree - watched E1 last night and thought it was spot on (spoken as a long time gamer myself). Pedro Pascal is perfectly cast - he even looks like Joel from the game IMO. And Bella Ramsey (Lyanna Mormont of Game of Thrones fame) is brilliant as Ellie, even if she doesn't look like her games' sake. Roll on episode 2.

BucksRam got a reaction from SKRam in This run we're on, as good as it is....
When we polled this ages ago, I think I said top 6.  We're nicely cemented there at the moment and considering where we were, that's nothing short of amazing.  If not for a poor start, we'd be at worst 3rd but that's moot really. Top 2 is doable, and I expect Plymouth to falter, but in reality I can't see us achieving it due to our lack of depth, unless Warne does something amazing in the remaining 14 days of the transfer window .
But you never know.  3rd for me is definitely on the cards regardless if we maintain our form, then win at Wembley to the sound of 40,000 Rams singing "are you watching {insert villain(s) of choice}".

From a Scotland point of view, Wales and Italy at home are must wins.
Can we give Ireland a game at Murrayfield.
England and France away are 2 losses.

I'm looking forward to it. 6 nations ???????matches all in diary, tables to be booked at my local for each game, except Eng / Italy which I'm going to.
As for the RWC, seriously thinking of going for a long weekend in the fans zone as couldn't get tickets. Meeting Australia / Eddie in the quarters has to be in the stars.
