Get that @Diego chap back on the match threads. We seem to have gone into @Reverse.

We’ve got a club. If you’d said consolidate this year and chance of promotion next year it would have been a massive yes. But we are still in it and know we can play better. Still good times to come

It’s like they all look over at us and say ‘that looks like a good idea, we’ll do that.’

Part of the problem is that the UK is now the home of money laundering - private eye have done loads on London based brass plate companies used to launder dirty Russian money.

    Very sad news.

We had Motty on the podcast in 2018, should anyone fancy listening again.

Gave some great anecdotes about Jim Smith, Brian Clough, and his memories of the Baseball Ground - and his son Fred was on with us too.

The guy was a complete nerd, knew it and made a great career out of it. He was my preferred MOD commentator.

The Premier League is the child of Thatcherism applied to football and no amount of White Paper will be sufficient to wipe away the schyte that pours forth. Football sold its soul to the devil and there ain’t no deliverance from that.

Must be quite emasculating for them ?

The sad fact of life is that if all corporations and the very wealthy were not able to devise legal ways around paying their fair share of tax, we wouldn't be in this mess.
I can't for the life of me fathom why anyone who is wealthy beyond imagination, still wants to avoid paying what they really owe? And don't even get me started on tax havens.

When the NHS kicked off in 1948, all dentistry was free. Demand for false teeth in particular was so high, it would have bankrupt the country, so Atlee's government reluctantly had to limit what dentistry would be free and what would have to be paid for. Nye Bevan resigned over this, but Atlee had little choice.
There is, therefore, a precedent for what @Archiedis suggesting, and I have some sympathy for that view. I wouldn't want to be the person deciding what is free and what isn't, but it's true that the NHS offers far more "elective" treatments than it was initially designed for. We have a simple choice : pay more through tax, or pay for some treatments that are "elective".
A little girl got lifesaving gene therapy treatment the other day. It cost £3m, but I'd say it was worth every penny. I'm happy to pay more through whatever method to ensure little girls like her are saved, because I can afford to, but I know not everyone is able or wishes to. I don't really envy politicians who have to solve that conundrum.

I really like the look of him. Very young but has a visible calmness with the ball and doesn’t showboat. Intelligent short passes. I also reckon we’ll see more of him taking free kicks, looks like he knows what he’s doing. I’d like him to start on Saturday

We were always bound to have an off day at some point.
This squad has been stretched to its absolute limits and has put together an excellent run despite having to contend with so much.
This should be a good lesson for Warne and the players and should be a great opportunity to refocus and show what we are made of.
My feeling is we’ll bounce back very quickly. 4 of our next 5 games are at home and we have a great chance of going on another winning run.

Add composure to this. There are so many situations where Bucko would clear row Z, Cashin just gets the ball under control and it starts from there

Wouldn't surprise me at all to see the French outgun the Irish today. I put up the latter as this year's 6N champions based on home field advantage in this particular game, but the more I look at individual match ups, the more I think the French have the necessary firepower to turn over our Celtic buddies. I'd be ignoring the Italy form line, as the French never turn up against Italy.
Should be an absolute belter in any case.

Similar in terms of heart, but Cash vastly superior in passing, heading and tackling ability.
