Can you not be proud of how the players tried their best, kept plugging away, and in the end got their reward?

Apparently not. As I've already said, I'm not convinced Warne is our long term bet. BUT, I can appreciate when he got right and scrapping an important win against a top six team when we are chasing automatic promotion is always a good result. To argue otherwise is churlish.

I'm a Warne sceptic, but I can also appreciate a vital win in difficult circumstances. Well done to Warne and the squad.

Right. So now that your original argument, that their away form isn’t so good, has been disproved and doesn’t fit your agenda you’re changing tact to say their form is only good because of how poor the league is? Keep going and you might end up with something that convinces a few people that, whilst not the greatest game of football, everyone involved today doesn’t deserve a bit of credit.

I think we just need to stop giving this the oxygen to breathe tonight.

People are entitled to opinions and arguments but at this point it's just getting a bit daft.

He needs a shout out. He literally couldn’t stand up at the end of the game. He went to the well to get himself through that game. Literally put his body on the line for the cause as they all did. Great to see.

The one thing I won't fault with this squad is effort.

Tactically I'm not a fan a lot of the time, but I won't be questioning their effort.

For the Warne thread I suppose, but as I've said before, 90-95% of managers would have us in a better position. With no striker, Warne benches our most dangerous attacking midfielder? He got lucky.

He was 5 minutes away from getting hounded, but that's football sometimes I guess

    Nice positive line up.

Good to see we have plenty of attacking options on the bench as well in case we need them…

The best form of attack is defense when every senior striker at the club is injured I guess.

I actually sympathise with Warne today, but he could at least have a younger player on the bench just in case we need something a bit different.

Still don't get one thing... we have strikers in the youth teams (Tony Weston, Lennon Wheeldon) that aren't playing today and aren't out on loan. Why not name one of those on the bench to give us something different to bring on?! We have no recognised striker in the matchday squad!

Because Warne seems to think the deep end is too risky for our youngsters.

It's probably the thing I least like about him. If you never test them you never know. Cashin got thrown in at the deep end and look at him now, you can't protect them forever.

I think that's kind of part of it.  He was supposed to be the big marquee signing, the hotshot in-form goal-scoring winger, the missing piece of the puzzle to kick us on a level (or it certainly felt like that was the intention from the outside).  Now, instead of that, he's suddenly not fit, then he's injured, then he's playing but not really fit.  Plus he doesn't really seem to fit the gas-out, aggressive pressing type of football that we want to play either.  So it kind of feels like, instead of blowing our budget on a difference-maker, we've wasted on it on someone who's struggling to even get in the side.

We've not seen nearly enough to judge either way.
