The lack of excitement at the ground is primarily down to the standard of football being played. As a general point though im not sure our manager appreciates that for over 100 years the club has hardly spent any time down at this level and a large proportion of our match day fans can still remember top class football. Sorry for being a bit arrogant but perhaps Derby fans and certainly myself dont get excited by seeing us draw with the likes of Shrewsbury Town. I strive and expect the club to be challenging at least towards the top of the Championship and hopefully getting into the top tier. Sorry to sound "entitled" but imo we need an injection of arrogance on the pitch not lower league chat and bobble hats! Raise the standards for goodness sake!

    Exactly this.

And yet we’re third highest goal scorers and best goal difference, strange.

That's evidence of just how poor this division is. Our football has been consistently poor and it's still enough to get through most of the dross in this division bar two or three exceptions. That won't be the case if we go up.

Rotherham are nailed on for relegation this season and Warne hasn't been in charge for 18 months.

Maybe the problem is the Rotherham owner/their limited fanbase and resources, not Paul Warne?

If he gets us promoted we'll find out!

Agree to an extent but I think a key issue we have is off the ball movement and players making themselves available.

I think that is largely something that is coached - filling gaps, knowing where to be etc.

If the entire “unit” of a side looks bad at one time it’s hard to pinpoint it to individuals in my opinion.

This. Our lack of imagination with and without the ball is a problem and it's down to shape, tactics and coaching.

Paul Warne is a tactical coward. No swagger about anything we do at all, which is seemingly at odds with the way he speaks and his character off he pitch.

Nigel has the advantage that Gary Crosby can put up some lovely shelves for him.

What's Ritchie Barker's additional talent that makes Warne keep hiring him? We need to be told......

Sounds like Barker does most of the actual coaching. Presumably whilst Warne is doing a mind map before adjusting the layout of his 'Why Wall - Version 2.0'.

  6. I have no faith in this squad and management setup to navigate the playoffs.

    Too cautious, not enough arrogance.

We can't use administration as an excuse forever, we have the tools to get the job done this season. At some point the management team and players need to remember that they are representing the biggest club in this division in front of the biggest crowds in this division and act accordingly.

All this sitting back and trying to hold out against dross like Shrewsbury is farcical. Get stuck in to them and project some confidence. If Warne can't be that manager and foster that attitude then we should find someone who can.

    Who on?

A squad with one of the highest wage bills in League alone almost from scratch?

Just because there isn't a transfer fee doesn't mean there aren't agent fees, signing on bonuses and sizeable wages to pay.

    'Free transfers' are not free.
