Yeah just watched it, spoke well, like that he’s got connections with people already here (as others have, will help the squad gel quickly), Stearman played a big part in getting him here too! Has five promotions on his cv, I know a lot of people want to see some youth added but I think the experience and know how of these new additions could be massive for us this season ?

If he was behind all the signings lately which most seem to approve of, then this is dissapointing 

So, we're starting to look back at Mel's tenure, the last few seasons and almost going out of business.
I have to say that the threat of Derby County, the club that has been such a big part of my life, being liquidated was mentally and emotionally debilitating.
Sure there are far more serious things happening in the world but I personally found it really tough to deal with.
Nevertheless, thanks to many people - especially David Clowes, of course, but also Rooney, Team Derby, everyone at the club, and the supporters (more of them in a moment) the Rams have survived and can start to look forward again.
So now, knowing that the worst is over, we can start to look back and pick out the truly good things that came out of the past year.
The supporters.
Unbelievable. Fantastic. Superb. Remarkable.
There are no words that do justice to the pride I feel to count myself as a Derby fan.
I'm so sorry that my circumstances meant that I wasn't able to be on the walk, at Moor Farm on relegation night or at Blackpool but my physical absence doesn't make any of those events any less than real stand out moments.
The petitions, the lobbying, the campaigns, the support from other clubs' genuine supporters was outstanding.
The togetherness though, between fans, players and club.... I've never seen anything like that before and I doubt we ever will experience anything quite like that again. Beautiful.
Knowing that Derby County has come through it all and survived, I believe we can now look back and say "that was a great season".

I really like this signing for League One - a player who has excelled and been there before. He's a very hard working player, someone who will give as much as he takes. He will have an excellent midfield to work off.

He won’t get many Euros in his budgie smugglers.

If our business so far is down to Pete and Jon then I'd suggest the early signs are that they've been a damn sight more effective than previous recruitment teams!

"It wasn't me who scouted him (Oduroh), but somebody at the club I had mentioned in my pre-match press conference last week," he said. "We don't have a recruitment team at the moment. Every club has around 10 to 15 people working in a recruitment team, but because of what has happened at the club we haven't had one.

I didn't catch all of the match I was dropping in and out, I saw him do a couple of runs down the left wing, he reminded me a bit of Jamie Ward.  
I would need to see more of him before I formed an opinion.
