Can you (or anyone for that matter) provide an actual example where Stearman had an awful game? He's consistent and has always stepped in where needed.

Top 6 to be realistic. There are some strong teams and some teams with momentum. We're not used to this league so I'd expect the first 6 months to be about adapting.

Think we're probably 5 signings away from being a promotion team:
LB-most likely Fozzy with Roberts rotation/cover
RB - wouldn't mind getting someone like Christie or Brayford back, both experienced and would allow for rotation with the new signing.
CM- assuming Bielik doesn't play for us this year then we 100% need another midfielder. Probably could do with an enforcer with a bit of experience. Stephens/Mcdonald or even Johnson could probably do well.
GK: not a clue, probably a keeper who knows the lower leagues and would be happy to be a cup keeper and to challenge.
Another winger/wide attacker: most likely a loan from a prem side, not going to expect to start every game but will give options. That plus Glover would top up the squad and give the u23s some depth.

Collins. Would have been happy with him last year, still a fair age, proven at every level and knows the rough and tough of the league.

Just signing the entire Republic of Ireland team at this point really aren't we?

Thing is we're not just having a squad to stay up next year, they're looking to challenge for promotion.
One injury to Cashin and Davies and we'd be done for, especially as there's no real youth CBs otherwise available.
It's going to be a busy season with the various cups plus the league will be far more physical. Having two players to every position is an absolute must IMO.

Mendez-Laing and McGoldrick are both previous targets, as is Chester.
Barz we've been linked with since before even the season end.
Only leaves the GK which we didn't need until last week came around. Rooney and Rosenior likely made their targets long before Rooney left so its likely a follow through of any original plan.

Business plan is in place for two years following the exit of admin, which includes caps on wages. At the end of the two years I would imagine that the cap ends so players won't want to sign for longer when they can get a pay rise at the end of two years.

Got to be Davies.... Pen in hand ready today surely.
Off the cuff signing but expect James Collins to be one of the first signings, fits the striker spot well.

From knowledge, Clowes and Appleby have some very close links in a number of communities in Derby.
Very much expect him to be named preferred bidder with a joint bid with Appleby to be the final outcome. Clowes is business smart, Appleby is sport smart.

RamLad1884 got a reaction from EtoileSportiveDeDerby in Alan Nixon Breaks Silence on American Billionaire Bid
Counter scenario: the bidders and the admins are holding announcing who they are until a preferred bidder is selected.
I would imagine the vast majority of those involved would prefer to negotiate quietly and make an announcement once the real details are resolved.
Kirchner broke the norm by coming out with his bid, but the reality is he was no closer to owning the club than any of us. Then he throws his toys out the pram when he didn't get it all his way.
The analogy on here seems to compare the deal to buying a house. A house purchase can easily take 9 months if complex but people expect a multi-company insolvency transaction with non-valued assets to be done in less than 3 months?
