I suggested him January and since then he’s gotten even better I feel, but a loan of potential permanent for Mika Biereth.
He will be turning 22 next season and likely will never play for Arsenal. For the first half of the season he was as a 10 or second striker at Motherwell scoring 6 and assisting 5 in 14 games before spending the second half of the season on loan at Sturm Graz where he’s played on the wing or up front in a two.

For Sturm Graz he’s got 5 goals and 1 assist in 13 games in the league while also getting 3 goals in 4 in the conference league knockouts. Also has 1 goal and 1 assist in 3 cup games.

He’s a very good young attacking player aswell as being versatile, would be a great signing his contract is up in 2025 so a slim chance of a permanent of a similar deal to TJJ this season.

But people do watch all of those for entertainment, and take part in those to compete in what is essentially a game. They're not not entertainment because you don't personally enjoy them.
I don't see how you can see football as being anything other than entertainment. The entertainment of the people playing it and the people watching it. That's all sport is at its core.
Do people saying all sport is just a "physical activity" pull up a chair in the gym and watch people go for it on a treadmill?

I would take issue with this, as someone who pays a lot of money to commute from Bristol to utilise my season ticket.
I absolutely accept that this is a tough league to escape from and that some of the dross I have sat through is a necessary part of our progression.
However, in order to grow as a football club, we do need to play a better standard of football to get any joy against better opposition.
But that’s a question for the closed season. Promotion is the first priority.
Paul Warne knows that you have to work very hard to get out of League One. He has never had a squad to be competitive in the Championship.
We won’t know what he’s capable of until we have established our squad for next season.
Who knows, we may see the ball played on the grass yet.

Its not so much we don’t know how to play through the middle, it is more that the players are not allowed to.

I would never assume anything with Derby , but I can hope .
All I meant was there will be a couple more twists and turns in the next few weeks and let’s hope they are favourable for us 🤞

You keep going on about our two makeshift fullbacks like it's all their fault. 😄
Sibley had a decent game in defence and set up one of our early chances but don't count cos you don't rate him. 😄
It's Warne's fault, he picks the team and sets them up. Who tells them to take half a minute for every throw-in? Didn't see any tv shots of Warne shouting at them to get on with it. We had plenty of subs but when they were bought on didn't give them time to settle. Waggy should have been on sooner, etc etc...

Warne isn't interested in good football. Or it's probably more accurate to say that Warne's idea of good football is very different to your average Derby fans idea of good football.

And here is why: as I said a few comments ago, we should have been clear in top place ages ago, but because of gutless performances and absolutely terrible formations and tactics we are now asking our rivals for favours.

Poor performance, but not totally unexpected. I would say that's roughly our average level of performance over the season - we simply are not a good football team to watch.
Let's see how the weekend plays out before hitting the panic button, If we can get to a four point cushion over Bolton then we should get over the line. It's been jarring watching us since Gayle got injured, it honestly really has.

Why am I seeing ppl give CBT a load of sh*t on X etc. after his last few performances. No one here for us has played well. Get behind the lad instead of destroying him.

Let's just smash these jobbers. Tin pot nonsense club that have taken up too much of our attention over the last few seasons. Just batter them and leave them where they are. Our natural level is far beyond theirs, let's get that rectified.

Nonsense of course he can. He's got the most ability on the ball and best touch of anyone in the club. I'd love to see him in that position

I suspect it will be 433 leaving 3 decisions in my view with the same goalkeeper and back 4.
The midfield 3 should be Adams, Smith and either Hourihane or Thompson.
The 2 wide players should be Mendez-Laing and either Ward or Blackett-Taylor.
The centre forward should be either Collins or Washington.
I think Warne will go Hourihane, for his experience, Ward, as potentially better defensively and at crossing, and Collins, as the most likely goal threat. Tough on Blackett-Taylor maybe but he will likely feature as a substitute. Thompson probably didn’t do enough starting at Northampton and Washington probably didn’t do enough starting against Blackpool.
I would take a point right now!

Pompey fan, in peace.  I read (a lot) and posted (a little) when you were having issues with the ownership.
I just wanted to pass on my belated condolences for B4's passing - as an outsider it was clear how much he cared about your club.  It's lovely to see how much warmth he commands and how he's being remembered.
I'm sure it doesn't need explaining that I hope my club gets up, but having read some of this thread I hope you manage to make it up with us.  It's also a great reminder that football clubs are all about the people who support them.  Raising a glass to Daniel this evening.

Yep 😊 There was a panicky moment in our box after Collo came on, a mix of botched clearances, blocks and scrappiness. Collo brought the ball down from one of them, played for the free kick with 2 men on him, all calm and collected. Just killed the the threat by using his nous. He hasn’t got the pace and skill to rip defences apart but he’s a flipping good experienced player with diverse and valuable elements to his game
