I heard Erik was backed up by others who scarpered when the authorities arrived.

Suspect Old Trampie called their bluff.

Glad he's getting at least one of his 5 a day.

Spot on. Apparently one of Erik’s gang claimed to be from Fight Club and kept repeating ‘Only after disaster can we be resurrected.’ Can’t remember his name, but sounded away with the fairies. In a negative way.

    She’s just rounding up.

Will - what news of Trampie?

He must surely have strong views on the EFL, new owners and the end of lockdown?

Any chance you could don PPE and rummage around?

With the weather being so awful I haven’t been down to the bottom of the garden much to see Old Trampie.

Caught up with him at the weekend. He was sporting a black eye he’d got fighting some new tramp on the block called Erik. Apparently, Erik had come off worse and hadn’t been seen since. Old Trampie was celebrating with an apple pie he’d found while bin raiding.

Make of that what you will. ?‍♂️

Absolutely! If you can see the sea, that's good enough for me. I live 100 miles from the coast so any glimpse is precious.

Also  I love the area around Waterside and the marina in Hull. I can't understand why everyone has such a down on the place.

It’s impossible to live further than 70 miles from a coastline in England. And you have to live in ‘Coton in the Elms’ to do that.

I’m now going to lie in a darkened room and weep silently at the revelation that @angieramtells lies ?

If I’m paying £1k I don’t want it to subsidise season ticket prices

It’s only a reduction on your own season ticket. Even if that’s 50GBP a season it’s be twenty years before it paid off.

But I’m willing to negotiate on the point ?

30k paying 1000 each.  Interested how the posters on here would react, truly I am.  I would buy if I was permitted but...

There’d obviously have to be a streamlining of the tangled web of companies that Mel currently operates, a clear delineation of the debts, and a cast iron constitution.

I’ll even throw in a 10% reduction on season tickets for share holders.

And by the time we’re ready for the share issue, the economy will have rebounded. So more might be tempted.

Go on you know you want to...

  6. Mel could create 60,000 shares offered at 1,000GBP. He retains 29,400 shares (49%) with all other shares offered to fans initially (season ticket holders, members, registered customers) before any surplus is offered on general sale.

Mel retains unsold shares (or they’re placed in trust with the potential to be sold at a later date).

All monies raised go toward running costs. All debts owed to MM serviced on an interest only basis until we reach the EPL (at which point we repay 10% per year while we stay there).

Similarly, no dividends for share holders until we hit the EPL (and then capped at 10p in the pound) and the club is run within its means with a continued focus on developing academy players.

I have a vague memory of carbon fibre being mentioned for the structure - I don't think the roof could take much more weight than that.

It’s the lifting force of wind getting beneath the roof. It’s like a massive sail and could generate huge forces.

  8. That’s one hell of a kite attached to the roof.
As someone who has (but never used) a structural engineering degree I’m fascinated in the forces involved in realising this design. Not to mention what the hell they’re making the component parts from.

And before you automatically dismiss wind as force on buildings, Google ‘Tacoma Narrow’s’

Charlie Wyke, Sam Clucas and Kyle Bartley would be top of my list if we can afford wages obviously

If we have learnt anything over the last seven years it should be the crippling effect of high wages. Ikechi Anya being the ultimate lesson.

So for that reason Clucas and Barkley wouldn’t be on my shopping list.

Wyke is a question of playing style. He’s a monster in the air and could see Byrne getting 20 assists next season.

But (and this is my view and I suspect not Wayne’s) I’d rather we had a mobile front line with multiple threats. I’d rather keep CKR as our foremost battering ram when we need to play it but recruit pace, mobility and goals across a revamped front line.

  10. I’d be tempted to try and get three or four in from League One to bring a bit of depth to the squad. It would act as a bit of a refresh and works with various budgets (if we do have a few bob there’s still room for marquee signings).

I’m going to ignore anyone in a promoted side (Dembele and Lewis-Potter would have been go to signings otherwise).

Top of the list is Conor McGrandles if Lincoln don’t go up. 6’1” CM, leader and potential captain. Boosts options and could fill the Bielik gap.

With Pompey not going up I’d be on the phone tomorrow for Jack Whatmough (Matt Clarke’s slightly better looking twin). 6’3” CB who wins everything in the air.

While on the phone I’d also be asking after Roman Curtis. Goals, height and pace. Could play anywhere across a front three. What’s not to like?

Up front, it might be worth sending @DarkFruitsRam7back to the Accrington Fan Zone and seeing if he can smuggle Dion Charles back to Pride Park. 19 goals in mid table team. Electric pace. If Blackpool don’t go up Jerry Yates fulfils a similar remit.

Was in Edinburgh....celebrating my birthday. Got the result in a pub just down from Edinburgh castle....

    In Scotland you say ?

Can’t help feeling that this revelation is a bit like a Tory MP who is strongly committed to family values getting caught in a brothel wearing his wife’s underwear!

So go on. You can tell us. It’s a safe space. Had you been at a Hibs match or had you been at a Hearts match? ?

  12. Delighted for Morgan, gutted for us.

700k is peanuts for a player of his pedigree and potential. If he’d come to us for that money we’d be raving over him. Over the next couple of year’s he’s going to blossom into something special. His next move will be for an 8 figure sum.

How do I know? Because he has a good first touch, can carry the ball at pace, has lovely balance and knows where the net is. And I’ve been saying the same for a good couple of years now.

And let’s not forget that the Derby sales team let Emil Rys Jakobson go for free when a year later he’s being sold for 1.2m. Whittaker will make that pearl look like a world class bit of business.

The story in a nutshell? Sold at a ridiculously low bargain price to free up a space because we’re under a soft embargo.
