Ken Tram reacted to Sparkle in EFL statement
We are in administration because we can’t fund the club ! We can’t have a new owner because you won’t let us have a new owner to fund the club - this is beyond nuts

Ken Tram reacted to NottsRammy in Banners for the Sheff Utd game?
There is part of me who just wants the players to sit on the pitch and let sheff stick the ball in the net . Its the only way to highlight to national news how bad this has got with middlesboro and wycombe sticking the knife in when its the efls fault . And how can you have a boro candidate on the efl panel judging on this and its allowed to happen the worlds gone mad .

This i'd like advice on, If we're liquidated on Monday, All our assets are sold to pay off creditors, Do we fold as a football club and hope to reform, Are the results expunged from the division, Or do we play with a team full of under 18s for the remainder of the season, Start next season on minus 15 points and hope to have a new owner in.

Has anyone estimated what settlements Middlesbrough and Wycombe are seeking, or what they could get?
I would have thought that it was £nil - but maybe not.

15 points is the penalty for exiting administration and paying the unsecured creditors less than 25% upfront or 35% in installments.
Not paying the football creditors 100% is expulsion from the EFL

Liquidation is not the end of the club, it would be the end of the Corporate entity that owns the club. .
Anyway the statement tonight from the admin team does not suggest to me we are close to liquidation of the Company at least not an involuntary liquidation. We have three bidders and a clear legal opinion on a way forward.
We are at loggerheads with the EFL which we have been in truth for two years now. They are clearly deceitful , incompetent and vindictive.
But we will survive. We are Derby.

Ken Tram reacted to RammingStone66 in A call to action
Would it be good if someone could write the main points of the Issues out and we can all copy it and start emailing MPs, Media etc
That way we have consistent and coherent messaging going out

Ken Tram reacted to Ramifications in A call to action
I think we need to hold a protest outside the EFL headquarters. That will make the news and bring it to the wider attention of investigative journalists etc

Unless the EFL or Middlesbrough have a sudden change of heart, I think this is the end for this iteration of Derby County
Logically, I don't think the administrators can now trade to a better position for the creditors than liquidation offers.
They could try to sell a couple of players to keep us going, but that's depleting the assets, with no exit route in sight. It's not going to be in the interests of the creditors to do that whilst the spurious claims prevent a takeover, and the administrators can't fight the case themselves - they could not assume the potential liability.
Mike Ashley is the only hope, but I think he has a better option, To get out of this we need enough cash to keep playing whilst fighting the case at the arbitration panel. That's likely to take a year. So we'll need about £10m and someone to underwrite the potential award, should we fall foul of the EFL constituted panel.
So Ashley could give us £10m to keep us afloat, but then, even if we win the case, have to find £60m to get us out of admin. Of course we should win the case and almost certainly would in a fair hearing, but this is the EFL, so even that would be a risk. Of course, we'll have been in embargo for that year, so we're likely to be deep in relegation trouble in League 1. Ashley is not going to pay £70m for a club heading downwards towards League 2 with a week squad.
What he could do is to buy the name for a few million and restart the club. It would take all his negotiating skills, but he may well be able to secure a place in the Conference North. Throw a few million at it and a couple of years later he's got a League 2 club for less than £10m. Then he buys the white elephant that is Pride Park for a few of million and he's got a bargain deal.
IMO it looks quite possible that tomorrow could be the last game of the season and the last for The Derby County Football Club Ltd. Derby County will live on, but it won't technically be the same club.

Only if we fail to pay the players = suspended 3 point deduction
if we fail to finish the season why would the EFL be bothered - we have beaten most teams anyway and there is no integrity to final league positions anyway
-
Ken Tram got a reaction from jimtastic56 in The Administration Thread
I had thought that the 12 point deduction was the sanction for bringing uncertainty to the league by going into administration.
Is there a further sanction on the table if the Administrators cannot guarantee funds for the rest of the season?

Ken Tram reacted to Donnyram in The Administration Thread
Suspect this is the EFL’s response to clubs moaning about us not accepting bids. We now have to prove funds are in place to end the season if there is no takeover completed (still hurdles to cross). If we can’t (suspect we need extra funding) then we will be “encouraged” to raise funds through player sales. WE ARE GETTING TOO CLOSE TO SURVIVING RELEGATION FOR THE EFLs LIKING
ps. Sorry for shouting

Ken Tram reacted to Maharan in The Administration Thread
There’s restrictions because the club is in administration. There are a lot of people not going to get the money they are owed by the club. Do you think it’s okay for us to continue as if nothing has happened?

This proof of funds stuff. Why not start selling next seasons season tickets?

Ken Tram reacted to S8TY in The Administration Thread
The whole point of appointing administrators is so they can look at potential buyers/investors to see if they are credible enough to take on the debt and move the club out of admin.....so why would the EFL be asking for proof of funds ??? insinuating there overriding the administrators
So admin select the preffered bidder ( based on having the funds ) and then they take the club over but the EFL want to also see proof of funds!! Sorry but this either total tosh or the story has been glorified to make it appear massive news...when it isnt!
The longer this goes on though the more the story will gain negativity....I can't help thinking that the weasel Gibson and two bob Wycombe are not helping this process....please please Derby do not give them parasites one penny

Ken Tram got a reaction from Ramzabac in Steve Bloomer
Thanks so much Zabac for posting that.
How funny! That's now called Hardwick School, which I went to many years ago; in addition to attending the other St James's, which is still called St James.
The football skills didn't rub off on me though. I played sweeper and would just try to kick mud into the goal! I scored lots of mud goals, but they didn't really help the team.
I don't remember Bloomer ever being mentioned at school, although I probably wasn't listening if they did.
I did invent a ball game though, a bit like rounders, that they were still playing at least 8 or 9 years after I left.

I'm ignorant.
But I'm thinking it's like going to speed dating 3 or 4 times and leaving empty handed.. then finally coming home with a phone number and a date to meet up...you're not in bed together but you're definitely washing your bits.....

If all if true, ie he wasn't in the frame but waited, now in the frame, and bidding circa £50million beating previous best of £30million, he's potentially played it perfectly!
How many fans, who would have dismissed him as a horrible option would jump at him now? I'm probably in that catagory in honesty
