Can play wide too. If he's cheap then not a bad squad player. Not a terrible back-up.

Probably an unpopular opinion but I'm not a fan of tika-taka either and agree re: Roseniors' style of play - I understood the philosophy, just found it boring. PW has a proven formula for getting out of L1 so I'm happy to back him regardless of the style of play he employs to get us back to the Championship.

I’m convinced that MB is the best “footballer” In our team. Can play with both feet, good positional play and can score the odd screamer. Need to see him play further up the field but that seems to be the plan this year

Raich Carter got a reaction from Andicis in Is our budget any bigger than last year?
I think we need to reset our expectations. Player wages are still high (almost all of our signings were playing in the Championship last year - they must be on similar money to what they got at their previous club) and overheads are significant (E.G. Moor Farm) so yes we have big gates but the TV money is dreadful at this level and that's what makes the difference. I strongly suspect incoming transfer fees bolster the bank balance to pay for wages, agents fees, etc but not much else.
We've been living in a dream world with MM - spending huge amounts of money that we just didn't have year after year so every penny counts at this level. Clowes will, rightly, be very risk averse and will want to limit his exposure to financial risk as it's well documented that the quickest way to stop being rich is to own a football club (our very own Lionel Pickering is an example).
My opinion is that we have a tiny budget for transfers and given the number free agents and the standard of player we need at this level, I think there's enough to go at without throwing money around. Obviously that's not what fans want to hear but equally, I don't want us in financial strife yet again.
Yes, we're Derby County. But we're Derby County in League One...

Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't want to sit week in, week out watching King Bill-eh's 10 men behind the ball after we'd scored or, Rowett's keep things tight 'til Vydra get's a goal styles, so I think we all want to be entertained.  I just really struggle to understand how anyone thinks Warne's desired way of playing is boring.  I'd much rather sit through 90 minutes of AC/DC than an hour and a half of Michael Buble'...

I can't see how Lee Camp avoids this list, even if you forget about his time with Forest.
Mo Camara got loads of abuse in the promotion season, which was very unfair when you consider how poor his replacement was.
Claude Davis and Eddie Lewis make the squad (I didn't mind Lewis, at least he tried)
Kenny Miller is a definite as well for me.

3: Stephan Schnoor?!! What did he do wrong?
    I'll throw in:
    - Beck
    - Danny Mills
    - Anya (perhaps not his fault)
    - Chris Baird for a bit but came good in the end
    - Darren Bent for some
    - Good old Bjørn Otto Bragstad
    - Craig Fagan got quite a bit of hate iirc
    - Bob Malcolm

That style of football works, just not sure if it does at this level. The players aren't good enough, both on the ball and off it. It turned into static, slow, deliberate passing for the sake of it. Lack of movement off the ball or quickness of thought to utilise the opening when it was there.
That said, as much as I appreciated the old Barcelona teams and Man City, I did find them more boring to watch compared to the likes of a Klopp Liverpool. City better this past year with the introduction of Haaland meaning they've adapted their style a bit.

Don’t understand this Warne plays hoofball dross I read. Also Warne ball is 10x more exciting to watch than Rosenior. Yes it may not be as pretty or technical. But someone beating a man down the line and whipping a great cross in is more exciting to watch that keeping the ball 90% if the time in your own half

David Clowes has stated that he wishes the club to be run with integrity. I totally trust him (as should every other Rams fan after what he has done for this Club). There are no “lies” being told and anyone suggesting that is the case should be ashamed.
We have already signed several excellent players to improve areas where we were deficient last year. Having seen yesterday’s performance where Sonny Bradley was absolutely outstanding and Nelson not far behind, I can’t imagine anyone is disappointed with their signings. One has left a club promoted to the Premier League, the other to the Championship. Although we have not seen much of him yet we have also signed Elder from a Championship side. I would imagine they all had plenty of offers and that their wages will be significant compared to those who have left (probably except Beilik). Also signed other good players where wages are likely to be high and probably had to pay good agents fees, if we are now allowed.
we still have 2 weeks to go! Warne will get his man/men, even if in the Loan market. Stop panicking.

BUT please do not question the integrity of the man who has saved this Club and has clearly outlined his vision for the future.

I was critical too - not that he was poor, just didn't do as much as I feel he could. The way other players talk about him shows what potential he has. He's a Derby (well, Burton) lad so I hope he doesn't let his contract run down. His dad was a Man U fan so that you'd imagine that'd be his dream move but as good as he might be, not sure he'll get to that level. This is a big season for him; hope he really shows what he's all about this year. If we go up, we might be able to keep him; if not, I imagine he'll move on but for me, needs to be a decent fee. None of this £2m malarky - he's got more promise than Knighty for sure.

In business, a budget is the planned spend so DC prob meant total available funds for transfers, wages, agents fees, etc. If PW decides to spend some of that budget on a transfer then he has less for wages for other players so you're right, it is about perception and an understanding of what a budget means.
PW is a obviously a sensible bloke so I don't think he'll push for more budget or take the proverbial as wee Billy Davies did. Look what good his attitude did him in terms of his career... Obviously a decent manager (for us, a least although I never hear a player say nice things about him) but a proper horrible little bloke.

The main thing that stands out about Forsyth when he was playing left back is I can hardly every remember seeing him beaten. You can count on one hand the number of times anyone has actually got past him. He's right up there for me.
