That is total disrespect though sorry. Bury would be as important to all of their fans and its place in their lives as Derby is to us. That is what this is about. We must not forget that esp how their MP spoke so eloquently to help us yesterday

Can you maybe raise another point David. Gibson has said (in his rant to your Boro forum equivalent) he could have spent the £45 million on his family. Since when has his family been a football creditor?

I'm serious. Gibson is funding Boro via soft loans. So really any losses Boro make are being absorbed by him, they are not losses to Boro. Its Gibson's personal loss, not Boro's he is trying to claim for.
Also he is saying Derby cheated. Well if so then it was Morris that cheated not Derby. If Morris really knew he wa sbreaking th erules, none of us did. So wouldnt Morris lose his protcetion of limited liability? So Gibson could go after Morris.
Basically it should be Gibson v Morris. Not Derby v Boro.

Liquidation is not the  end of the club, it would be the end of the Corporate entity that owns the club. .

Anyway the statement tonight from the admin team does not suggest to me we are close to liquidation of the Company at least not an involuntary liquidation. We have three bidders and a clear legal opinion on a way forward.

We are at loggerheads with the EFL which we have been in truth for two years now. They are clearly deceitful , incompetent and vindictive.
But we will survive. We are Derby.

Does anyone genuinely think he's worth more / a lot more than the £2mil being quoted?
I think that's quite a fair price. More than fair in fact.
Celtic would be a good option for him, West Ham would end up the same way as Bogle & Lowe. No chance he dislodges Cresswell any time soon. I fear he'd be back in the Championship within a season or so.
He's a good player, but probably only 'strong' championship level.
Good luck to him if he does move on

Old Wazza really has grown into the role hasn't he. His interviews are actually quite watchable now and he comes across really well. He's definitely growing on me as a bloke let alone what the team are doing at the moment. Fair play to the bloke, he's caused himself some right grief in the past but he's doing a decent job for us.

I think we're the silent majority as it's quite boring to say:
    Derby
    Derby
Cos I'm from Derby and me mum & dad wouldn't have it any other way. And it's the same for my lad. It's not a choice.

Some Bitcoin dude has just purchased non-league Bedford FC.  Not convinced it will pan out, looks more like a marketing ploy to me.  Get enough exposure, advertise your own bitcoin, tempt people to buy into it, make a quick buck, and launder some money... off into the sunset.

Blimey - that's some serious wrist slashing! It's not an idea to build for a lower division and bounce back - we have no choice! The OP is obviously right, give the kids the experience - that's the only positive we can take from it. Remember positivity? ?

As a friend said to me over the weekend "Norwich are going to take your record this year" I wanted to suggest the initiation of St Claude's Day, the date on which no club can undertake (or equal) our points tally of eleven points. Named in honour of a player more symbolic of our lack of preparedness, ability, and commitment than any other (a statement of recognition in itself) in that 07/08 season the race is now on to predict on what day it will fall this season.
In previous years St Claude's Day has fallen on the following weekends, last season's Covid affected schedule aside it has only three times made it past New Years Day.
    2020/21: 4th March (Sheffield United)
    2019/20: 22nd December (Watford)
    2018/19: 27th February (Huddersfield)
    2017/18: 13th December (Swansea)
    2016/17: 19th December (Sunderland)
    2015/16: 18th January (Aston Villa)
    2014/15: 29th December (Leicester)
    2013/14: 26th December (Sunderland)
    2012/13: 2nd January (QPR)
    2011/12: 31st December (Blackburn)
2010/11: 27th November (Wolves and West Ham)
    2009/10: 19th December (Portsmouth)
    2008/9: 8th November (Spurs)
So, on what day will St Claude's Day fall on this year? I predict it will be the fourth time it has made it past New Years Day but I still think last week in February our record will be safe for one more season.

This whole 'paying Paul Ince's mum for scouting' thing... I imagine it was actually just a signing-on fee paid to his mum for tax reasons (i.e. his dad's earnings would put him into higher tax bracket) so whilst it's a catchy title, in reality I suspect it's just a tax-efficient way of paying a signing-on fee.
Having said that, looking back at some of the decisions made by a number of key people involved, they do seem particularly stupid so who knows.
With regard to who's fault all this is - the buck stops with Mel but he does seem spectacularly unlucky in terms of key staff selection, signings, injuries, COVID, pub crawls, etc. Overall, he seems to have had his fair share of luck so perhaps, in the bigger picture, it was karma.

I'd agree with that. They have no axe to grind, not invested (in any sense, etc) so they must have looked at it logically and decided it's worth challenging. I don't think it's for the benefit of the club - it looks like they think it's just plain wrong.
We don't have the insider knowledge to know all the whys and wherefores but fingers crossed.
PS Not a chance they'll get it over-turned!
