Can you name a game since he joined where he has been outstanding? I get tired of people making the statement ‘he’s got quality’ or something like ‘there’s a player there he just needs to produce’. We paid top dollar for him as such I expect him to produce at least an 8/10 performance every week. He hasn’t even produce a 6/10 performance. Sure he has scored a couple of half decent goals but has never persistently produced.

Similar with Pogba, I know these two are light years apart but I get sick of people saying ‘he has potential just needs to produce’. How long can you give someone that excuse for? That’s the whole reason you pay top dollar as you expect them to produce every single week, not for a good game every so often when they feel like it. Same concept applies to Lawrence, we paid a lot of money for him and we pay him a high wage also to produce every week. Something he hasn’t done at all since he has arrived.

We did not pay top dollar has you put it we paid 3 million up front the rest was add on's for various things the majority of which have not been paid.

  2. Don Hutchinson on talksport earlier this week talking about when Souness was his manager said he refused a transfer so a few days later in training Souness took him out two footed and high. He landed on top of Souness and both began fighting before being pulled apart.

Souness walked off turned around and said to the rest that's the fight I want to see......Training ground incidents happen.

I don't know if the Spanish league starts later than us but Betis seem to be lacking intensity in their play and are just stroking the ball around at their leisure. I think we're looking okay but based on the lack of intensity it's hard to judge really. Sitting deep seems to be sensible with the back 4 as it is especially Jagielka and Forsyth but in the competitive games this could become an issue.

I like the look of Carrol in this game looked solid when we've had the ball and think he's going to be important for us to get. I don't think it's sensible for Buchanan and Byrne to be going forward together as they are, it's creating real issues when the move breaks down and letting them onto us. If this was competitive I'm sure they'd have scored with one of those. I like the look of Aluko on the wing he looks solid but am not convinced about him and carroll switching it up- a few times carroll has been asking for the ball only for Aluko not to notice. The end result is that you have two players not able to be their best selves because of their positioning.

Baldock could be on the pitch from now until the start of the season and he'd still not score. I'd be looking elsewhere if we possibly can tbh.

They start a week after us this second half team is pretty much their first eleven

  4. Media once again making something about nothing about us again. Player injured in training by his manager really is a couple of lines at the bottom of a page story.

Everyday at every training session up and down the country players are injured by team mates and occasionally by coaches just because it is us and Wayne it is suddenly a headline. Must be a slow news day.

Obviously the embargo itself would evaporate with submission of accounts. However, there's a stumbling block (quelle surprise ) Derby and EFL disagree on a certain aspect - and rather than go through protracted disputes, both are trying to sort it before publication.

    RIGHT I see

The accounts show we are compliant and the EFL won't accept it......because Mr (I can't add up properly) Ploppy from Bristol is their financial wizard.

Bid of 1.5m rising to 3m accepted this morning with 10% sell on

That's it, I am officially done.

Please can you provide a link to this only thing I saw was from that joker Barry the ram

  7. Congratulations to Tom I like him has a player he gets a lot of unwarranted criticism on here for his on the pitch displays. Off the pitch was a different matter obviously.

I think Wayne sees a lot of himself in Tom in terms of things that have happened to him, Louis Van Gaal  put his trust in Wayne has a captain and it was a controversial appointment at Man Utd at the time.

This kind Of fly’s in the face of the “we won’t rush into signing players” statement yesterday doesn’t it? You know it’s tough times when Alan Nixon is more reliable than your CEO.

You are going to get a lot of this type of stories with players of any age. It is the time of season when clubs have players in on trial and with the end of the Euros the market will open up.

Supposedly limited to £12k pw. But no transfer fees, no loan fees, and no agent fees whilst under embargo

Clubs should not be paying agent fees anyway in my opinion. However I know a couple of players who I coached at a young age who went to Birmingham and were there when they were under embargo. They tell me the players they signed just paid the agent then claimed it back when the embargo was lifted.

It was done with the full knowledge of the EFL who in fact suggested it in the first place along with the PFA.

Depending on where you look, it seems there are well over 30,000 accountancy firms in the UK so, to be ranked in the top 50 (which they are based on fee income) means that, whilst they may not be Deloitte or EY, they are one of the biggest. So, I suggest they do possess a reasonable amount of credibility.

    From October last year

David Nelson, Senior Partner at Smith Cooper comments “2019 was a very pleasing year for Smith Cooper, with us becoming a UK Top 40 accounting firm for the first time and the fastest growing (measured by % growth) within the top 50, which was testament to the quality of our expanding client base and the hard work, professionalism and expertise of my colleagues.”

Unfortunately smith and cooper not one of the  big accountancy firms and the auditor tarnished by his support for the rams

    I beg to differ

Smith Cooper is a top-45, multi-award-winning accountancy and business advisory firm.

Has Mr Maguire said the EFL had better be careful if they are throwing accusations his way. There are more than one clubs accounts audited by a auditor and company that support that club.
