I was thinking that... I imagine if roles were reversed we would be looking to give couple of squad players a go to get them match fit if needed.

They will I am sure still try and execute the well know defeat Rams playbook of putting lots of crosses until we give them a soft one.

You know one of the squad players is Morgan Whittaker who would be bound to score.

  2. The review by the EFL is led by Trevor Birch he joined in January and has dealt with many takeovers in his time and did work at Derby for awhile.

Trevor Birch is an English chartered accountant, football executive, and former professional footballer. He is chief executive of the English Football League. Birch has been an executive at several clubs, including Tottenham Hotspur, Swansea City, Chelsea, Leeds United, Everton, Derby County, and Sheffield United.

I'm led to believe that the agreement with BZI was something like £15m to Mel, an agreement to take over the £15m debt to MSD and proof of having £25m to fund the club for next season and £15m for the season after. Mel just needs out and has written off the vast majority of his investment. Obviously some more funds were put in over the Christmas period, so there might be a larger loan, but I doubt that the deal would require more than £20m upfront and the ability to service the MSD loan.

Someone with ready access to £30m and the ability to show further backing should be able to secure a deal if the EFL approve.

I read somewhere the purchase price agreed with Alonso is £50m plus funding  for the next two seasons. Will see if I can find where I read it.

That was a very strange and slightly uncomfortable interview. As intriguing as it is worrying.

Thought the interview was fine said nothing new chose his words carefully. I took the impression there is far more behind him than he is letting on also quite good he played down the relationship with the more famous footballing Alonso's

  5. I have no idea what effort Sibley is putting in to improve and impress in training but Wayne and the coaches do. They have constantly said you need to put the work in on the training pitch to get into the team.

He is also suffering from the same thing that Max Bird is in that they are now a known quantity and teams are not going to give them the same space and time to work in. It happens to a lot of players in the season after they break through they now need to vary their game more to get the opposition guessing what they will do.

Young Louise Watson is benefiting from being a new name and is getting the space no longer afforded to Sibley.

All 3 parties Derby..sheff wed...and most importantly Marriott have to agree to terminate the loan.

Not correct in this case, if it was a season long loan with no recall clause inserted has was Chris Martins then you would be.

    From the official Dcfc site.

Marriott has linked up with Garry Monk’s Owls in a loan deal for the 2020/21 season, although the Rams hold the option to recall the player in the January Transfer Window.
