On the contrary, all those local cricketers whose games are called off this morning need something else to do! 

But like many of the threads on here.

I agree that there has been an excessive amount of promotion of the game but this interview isn’t on the list.
It’s an interview prior to a preseason friendly that is doubling as a testimonial. The interview is mostly “what a guy” Fozzy is (nothing unreasonable there), a tiny bit about the opposition, a comment about the guest players (without actually mentioning them) and a brief update on injuries.
I really can’t see what there is to criticise and to describe it as “begging for people to attend the game” just felt unnecessary and inappropriate IMO.

We’ve had some legends at left-back which curiously is the  position which is often difficult to fill and impress at. In no particular order, David Nish, silky skills. Steve Buckley - sledge-hammer left peg, Paul Boertien - energy, Chris Powell - quick feet, Shane Nicholson - 45 yarder… and so on. 
Where does Fozzy rate in your “all time” list of Derby left-backs? 

Lee Morris if that counts? Really had high hopes for the lad but don't know what went wrong?

Thompson is the stand out for me in pre season so far and I think he may be a surprise package this season , thought we looked very open defensively down our right side last night , very pleased with the goal and that kind of delivery to Collins was lacking last season , hoping for another striker and a bit of flair to come in before the window closes 

I think I saw him in one youth game and one cup game. Looked fluid, energetic and with that rare thing - a first good touch. A real prospect. I was sad to see him go.  I suppose time and what is around you is everything. Good luck to him. 
 
That said, and I am not being daft. Thommo looks as good. The long headed version of me hopes we don’t get too many senior midfield reinforcements because I want Thommo to be given a decent shout at claiming a spot.

Which two would you prefer?

I think we will mix it up using both a 343 and a 352/3412 next season. At times playing with two centre fowards whilst on other occasions playing with inside fowards (which for me would get the best of NML). 
Which ever formation we use we need more attacking additions with a goal scoring number 9 being the priority. Is Rhodes ideal? No. But I do think he would do a job in finding the back of the net.
