He was only on loan last year, the actual sale occurred in July 2023, which is well after the year-end date in these accounts.  So I assume that accounts for the lack of disposal. 
And I can't see what else it could have been anyway, of the only guys we've paid real money for in the last few years (Lawrence, Jozwiak and Bielik), he was the only one left when we were sold.

Knight (and any other youth players that were in the books) would have been valued at £0, as we never paid anything to acquire him.  That £3.3m would have been almost entirely the remainder of Bielik’s value.

Honestly thought Warne would utilise him in a back 3 when we first signed him.
 

This is about as uninspiring as it gets, but with the massive improvement in Collo recently we're not as desperate as we were. An experienced striker to drag us over the line doesn't sound quite as miserable as it would have done in summer.

If signed on a 3 year deal for £300k, £100k would be amortised per year. However, if we paid a £300k loan fee and signed him in the summer, we would take the full £300k hit this season, allowing us to spend more in future seasons.

I'm amazed no club does this. Have them come out like a surprise WWE superstar showing up in the Royal Rumble.

But do our marketing team, photographers, social media ect work weekends aside from those sent to the match? Kinda sad but I always assume timing of announcements is more to do with this than anything

Could be a contract thing, but I suspect it was one game too soon against Burton.

I always find it so amusing when Rammie joins in with the celebrations. A grown man dressed as a farmyard animal at the hoardings giving it to the crowd as if he’s just banged in a 20 yard volley himself.

Burton had 2 shots on goal and scored twice. Both were bad mistakes. NML lost possession in a dangerous area and their lad scores when 9 times out of 10 he probably wouldn't and as for the second, what on earth was Elder doing? He had a terrible game and made a complete mess of marking the last man. Having said that the ball out from the back was inch perfect for their sub to run onto. Again doubt that pass would be that good at this level 9 times out of 10.

I think Vickers got the nod over Wildsmith for two reasons, Wildsmith took a knock against Peterboro and Vickers is going to start in the EFL trophy on Tuesday, so it made sense to get him used to the backline in front of him and he also won't be going into that game cold.

Totally agree. It was a great win the overall scheme of things…. We just needed the win no matter how we did it after the disappointment of the Posh game. The lads did well.
 
Pleasantly surprised too, as to how well the senior players had recovered fitness-wise after the hectic Xmas period 👍
