I skimmed through the Newcastle Wiki page. They've won nothing of note since the 50s! And that was the FA Cup.
But talking of 'horrible' owners I'd forgotten Shepherd and Hall - they were deeply unpleasant.

Yeah but apart from all that….just what did he do for Newcastle ??

Wouldn’t mind Ashley at all. We would not end up in a mess anytime soon with him in charge.

One thing is for certain - under Mike Ashley, Derby County will survive as a football club. It might not be pretty, it might not be a successful period in our history but, make no doubt about it, we would survive and, frankly, that is enough for me after the last two years.

Because Newcastle were so hard done to when they were left financially stable in the Premier League, I'd hate for that to happen here!

In our current predicament, I'm struggling to believe people would consider Ashley being interested is anything other than good news.

Dont bother reading the article. There's nothing more in it, than what's in the headline.

Imagine if they announced it and it was BZG again.

One assumes that means the preferred bidder is sorted, even if not announced?

Be interesting how many Prem teams are made to field an under-strength squad this weekend or risk forfeiting the game like we were last year!
If you have at least 14 players available you must play according to the FA Cup rules.

Is it the administrators that are ducking around and this is a bit of a public push.

Southampton were sold for £100 million in cash and the new buyer another east European assumed £105 million of debt so the effective sale price was £205 million, also of note was that some of that debt was owned by MSD

I am really impressed with the work BAWT are doing. What Ramsatrust ought to have been.
More power to you.

Sell the printer sell the lawnmower but you can’t force a human being to sign for another club if they don’t want to

This is 2 months 2 late, who would speak on our behalf? Need to raise £60m+ in a few weeks, zero chance of it happening.
Maybe a better idea is a just giving page to assist any buyers with a purchase instead.....

I’m no fan of Mel Morris, but why anyone would welcome Sam Rush back is beyond me.
He was partly responsible for breaking up the 2013-14 squad, tripling our wage bill while making us worse.
Oh, and didn’t he financially benefit from it too?
The name Wasserman sends shivers down my spine.
